Not being true, and permanent, and annihilation, and permanent, and impermanent, and happiness, and suffering, and pure, and impure, and self, and selfless, and empty, and not empty, and characteristic, and characterized, and one, and other, and birth, and cessation, and so on, such distinctions do not exist, because its own nature is not ascertained. Therefore, for contemplating it, only the noble ones are reliable, and not the non-noble ones. Thus, it is extensively stated that the ultimate truth is not the object of consciousness, and all consciousness, mind, and mental factors, and all conditioned phenomena and consciousness aggregates arising from the mind, when approaching the ultimate truth, even a momentary flow is intolerable except for quiescence. As it is said: The ultimate truth is not the object of consciousness; consciousness is considered to be conventional truth. (163b) Thus it is. This principle should be considered as the lifeblood of all definitive meanings of sutra and tantra, which cannot be separated. This is the non-mentation, beyond-consciousness Mahamudra Dharma tradition transmitted closely from the venerable Saraha and the glorious Shavari, the Lord of Power, to the venerable Marpa, Mila, and so on. Later, what clarifies this Dharma tradition even more is the definitive meaning of sutra and tantra taught by Avalokiteshvara Mitra Joki to Khrophu Lotsawa, the immeasurable instructions of non-mentation Mahamudra. Nowadays, many people agree that this method is the school of the Chinese Heshang. How can someone who says this have a heart in his chest, eyes on his forehead, and memory still in his head? Second, the reason why the world is not a valid measure. Therefore, the world cannot harm it. Incidentally, it points out the object that the world can harm. First: If the world is a valid measure, then, what is the use of other noble ones seeing the world itself? What is the use of the noble path? Even a fool should not be considered a valid measure. If, in this time of analysis, the view of the world is a valid measure, then, as a dharma, what is the need for other noble ones to show it? Because worldly people see the truth of things established by measure, thereby abandoning unreasonableness. This is to refute the claim.

There was no Madhyamika, and regarding the way to establish the sign, the Gelugpas consider that "the suchness of things is established as valid by worldly people" means that the suchness of things that function in the conventional is established by nominal valid cognition. If it is valid cognition, it is not established. Rather, it should be established that the true appearance of the object of negation of the sign seen by worldly people is established by worldly valid cognition (164a), if it is valid cognition. Therefore, for true appearance, there are also two true appearances: one is the true appearance of the object of attachment that is deluded about conventional dharmas, and the other is the true appearance that is true only to the extent that it can function as a non-deluded object. The former is to be abandoned, and the latter is the valid thesis to be established as the basis for acceptance and rejection. Therefore, according to our way of establishing the sign, the sign and pervasion can be established. If it is not like that, according to the way the ancients established the sign, the sign and pervasion of that syllogism cannot be established. Later scholars embellished and explained with many details, saying that this method is the tenet of the Madhyamika Prasangika and the warm nectar of the speech of the venerable Manjushri. But that does not agree with my heart. If that were the case, then for the conventional truth, there would be two true appearances: the true appearance established by nominal valid cognition, which is valid by the minds of worldly people, and the true appearance established as the object of attachment of delusion, and the ultimate truth, which is different from that, so there are three truths in total. If Master Chandrakirti had distinguished the two truths in accordance with the world, then "the two are grasped" would not appear, but "the three are grasped" would appear. And in those root texts and commentaries, the classification of the three truths should also appear. Furthermore, it also changes here. If the world is valid cognition, then apart from the twelve internal and external sources that are not harmed by the temporary cause of confusion, the world (164b) that you have assumed as the object of negation of the sign is acceptable. If that is the case, then such a worldly valid cognition is not famous in the world, because if the way things exist in their own nature is not established in the world, then the valid cognition that grasps it will not be established in the world either.
