Nöjin and so on, even countless beings, even if they cause harm to me, this self-aware mind, no one can steal it. Hell and other many sufferings, also cannot erase this self-aware awareness. Emaho! The uninterrupted mind, even in sleep, intoxication, and carelessness, for this ripened body, beating, binding, and killing, or sinking into water, burning in fire, and transmigrating into animals, gods, and so on, abandoning countless bodies, except for moving from one place to another, awareness has never become an inanimate object. If one realizes the meaning of the primordial free from elaboration, conceptual thoughts will naturally dissolve into luminosity. The enemy of self-grasping self-destructs, liberated from suffering, merging into the realm of Nirvana. Samsara and Nirvana merge into one, the demons of dualistic clinging are cut off from the root. Even waking up from the sleep of ignorance, awareness has never become an inanimate object. Emaho! The insubstantial mind, from the nature of self-aware self-illumination, has nothing permanent and essential. It is far from size, length, and so on, without white, black, red, yellow, and other colors, transcending shape. There is no mind, and there is no transcendence of mind, awareness is the nature of space. It transcends the speech, thought, and expression of existence and non-existence, far from incomparable metaphors and symbols, detached from all relative phenomena. It is also far from everything I have said. Emaho! The self-mind is the basis of all things, realizing it is the treasure of great bliss wisdom, not realizing it is the prison of suffering. If you want to reach the plain of great bliss, you must constantly rely on the Lama, pleasing him in various ways, praying with devotion, reverence, and longing, generating Bodhicitta for the benefit of sentient beings, letting the self-mind restore its primordial purity. Do not engage in too much analysis and investigation, relax and let go, let it be natural. Do not be distracted in the four postures of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, do not cling to the objects of the six senses, do not negate, relax and directly release. This is the heart advice of the beggar Zhang, whatever appears, becomes a companion on the path of liberation. Thus it is said. Some people doubt that the passage just quoted seems to describe the nature of mind as unchanging, etc., as if the nature of mind is the ultimate truth without arising and ceasing, therefore it has not merged into the Madhyamaka school, but remains in the view of Cittamatra. But this is not the case, taking the mind as an example, explaining that all phenomena of emptiness and dependent origination, all with their own

Just as there is no change without inherent existence, it is because Madhyamaka only explains the profound meaning that all phenomena that appear as real, such as one's own mind, which appear dependently, can be established. So, why apply this only to the dharma of the mind, and not to the dharma of sprouts, etc.? Although it also applies to sprouts, etc., the reason for specifically applying it to the mind and explaining it is that this phenomenon that appears as real is not established independently of the mind's conceptualization. If one understands that the mind is of the nature of emptiness and dependent arising, then it is easy to understand that all other phenomena that appear as real are also like that. If one recognizes that all dharmas are of the nature of emptiness and dependent arising, then one can understand that all dharmas are devoid of real essence, and thus transcend all characteristics of actions and attain non-abiding nirvana. Some people establish the endless differences in the two truths in each of the philosophical schools and treatises from Vaibhashika to Prasangika Madhyamaka as their own system (p. 151b), because they do not understand the key points of reasoning and do not distinguish between characteristics and instances. The higher and lower philosophical schools disagree on the instances of the two truths, because the instances of ultimate truth fabricated by the lower and lower schools are refuted by the reasoning of the higher and higher schools. There is no disagreement merely in naming them as characteristics and objects to be signified, the two truths. If there were disagreement, then it would be impossible to debate the validity of instances from the perspective of common characteristics. Therefore, in the views of all higher and lower philosophical schools, whatever is not contradicted by reason and can withstand scrutiny is the ultimate, and the opposite is the conventional; that which abides in reality without deceiving its own nature is the ultimate, and the opposite is the conventional; the object of a non-deluded subject is the ultimate, and the object of delusion is the conventional, and all schools agree on this. As for the instances: the Realists believe that the ultimate exists after rational inference, as it says in the Compendium of Determinations: "Should it be said that suchness exists afterwards, or should it be said that imputation exists? The answer is that it should be said to exist afterwards, because it is included by the ultimate." and so on. The Madhyamikas
