If someone adheres to the belief that by negating the person and Dharma held as true by the three times, it would lead to nihilism, thereby negating the law of cause and effect. All mistaken notions tainted by ignorance, whether afflicted or unafflicted, are considered to be unerring, established by valid cognition, and not deceptive. Even when the perfectly enlightened Buddha sees the appearance of karma, they perceive it as ordinary beings do, believing that the feelings of hell and so on are the seer, the seen, and the process of seeing (the three spheres). Although they perceive it in this way, the Buddha does not believe that feelings and so on possess the reality of the three spheres, because the Tathagata has abandoned all clinging appearances that need to be refuted by reasoning. There are also those who say that wrong views and valid cognition have a common basis. Some people strive to prove the existence of the cause, arguing that all things arise from something that is discontinuous. In short, if someone acknowledges that all phenomena from form to omniscience each have the nature of being able to perform a function in their own place, and that they are real and truly existent, then, because this clinging becomes an obstacle, and the way things exist in their own nature is considered to be real, all phenomena from form to omniscience are empty. If one does not understand this emptiness of emptiness, and explains the emptiness of each of the forms as the meaning of profound emptiness, then it will become absurd. In that case, phenomena with a basis will not arise in the knowable, so this view is worse than the view of the Charvakas. It is impossible for all those who hold this view to realize the true nature, therefore, unless this wrong view is abandoned, it is impossible to attain liberation in the three Bodhis. This erroneous teaching spread widely, causing the early Prasangika view held by Lord Atisha and his disciples, the tradition of Lotsawa Patsab, and other followers, to deviate in meaning like the views of the Chinese monk Hwashang, some Mahamudra practitioners, and Dzogchen, so that this view almost disappeared. Those who believe that the early Prasangika view is without error are only the great accomplished reincarnations of the Dagpo Kagyu, and some of their disciples, accomplished yogis, as well as Lochen Shakyachokden Palsangpo, Jetsun Rendawa, Taktsang Lotsawa, and others, as few as stars in the daytime. Therefore, the new Prasangika, Kadampa.
