Since it has not been heard that the nature of the nominal is empty of inherent existence, there is other-birth in the world. If there is no other-birth, the direct perception of the world will be harmed. This is speaking falsehoods due to the power of the sleep of ignorance (138a). If one does not explain how the terms of temporary truth and falsehood are circulated in this world due to confusion and non-confusion, and how the establishment and separation of the circulation of truth and falsehood are only on that, then one cannot eliminate the attachment of speaking nonsense in the world. In order to show the difference between whether the direct perception of the world harms other-birth, etc., for this purpose, the way of establishing the two truths for all phenomena is to show whether it is established as the object of harm or not due to this way. The Blessed One established the two truths for all external and internal things such as sprouts. Among them, the ultimate truth is the wisdom of the noble one who sees correctly, and it is established as the correct object on that. It is only said that. It is not that something established by its own nature can be obtained by the mind. The conventional truth is that the eye of the mind of ordinary people, which is completely covered by the cataract of ignorance, sees false objects, so it is established in the mind. But it is not that the way of grasping seen by the mind is consistent with this, and things are established in that way. Therefore, all things that are obtained will hold the two natures of ultimate truth and conventional truth. Among those two, whatever is the object seen correctly by the noble one is Suchness, that is, the ultimate truth. Whatever is the object seen falsely is the conventional truth, as it is said. Here, let me briefly talk about the digression caused by the two truths. In the snowy land of Tibet, which of the later Madhyamaka schools, Svatantrika and Prasangika, is more prosperous? The venerable (138b) Tsongkhapa said: Due to the power of the new and wonderful teachings of relying on Manjushri as the actual manifestation of the virtuous friend, the Prasangika school is very prosperous. However, the Prasangika school believes that the two truths are the same in nature but different in entity. (Tsongkhapa said: He does not think that the conventional dharma polluted by ignorance is a non-erroneous appearance, and he does not accept the conventional dharma polluted by ignorance that is established by nominal quantity.)

. If it is thought that, because the conventional dharmas defiled by the ignorance of self-view, which is refuted by reason, together with the appearance of delusion itself, are said to be the defiled dharmas of ignorance. Then, how do you say it? It depends on your statement. If the ignorance of grasping, which has the object of what is refuted by reason, does not defile the conventional dharmas with a cause of ignorance that includes the appearance of duality, then such ignorance will not defile such dharmas. If it is defiled, then, because the knowable object of what is refuted by reason has become the object of such ignorance, and because of this, in the continuous delusion of conventional defiled dharmas, the delusion of the true appearance of the grasper and the grasped, which is refuted by reason, has also become the object of delusion. You, the self refuted by reason, are not established on the subject! Saying this has actually been established in meaning. According to us, when not examined, although it is said that the object of ignorance, which is refuted by reason, defiles the result, the deluded dharma of convention, with the illusion of the knowable object of the object. However, when examined, if the object of the defiler, the object itself, is not established as a subject, then how can the object of its defiled dharma, the object, tolerate being a knowable object that can be examined? This is the unsurpassed roar of the Madhyamaka lion, which is free from extremes. Therefore, in the definitive sutras and treatises of the intermediate wheel, the present conventional real dharmas, which acted in this way in the past, if they are not recognized as deceptive and false, but appear as the grasper and the grasped of true reality, then (139a) this is said to be the conventional of the defiled dharma of ignorance. Therefore, that dharma itself is a dharma with delusion. You establish it as a dharma without delusion, and if you establish that there is another dharma with delusion besides it, then this is purely done for the sake of not wanting to completely eliminate the defilement of delusion. Unless there is a special need, it is very likely to become a dharma aspect that deceives the meaning of emptiness. Self-note: (After acknowledging in this way, establishing the nature of the two truths on the self-system established by valid cognition, and saying that all conventional dharmas defiled by ignorance are appearances without delusion, and the pleasant conventional nominal proliferations that have not been examined are not the dharmas to be refuted by reason and the path, and the co-emergent aggregates of mind of all sentient beings,
