The nature of mind, bodhi, and the three times are unmixed with conceptual thoughts. The magical displays of demons, rainbows, suns, etc., in the beginning, have neither benefit nor harm in the sky. Likewise, with complete and unwavering attention, the nature of original awareness has neither benefit nor harm. When distracted, that nature of original awareness turns into plague or something else. If it remains like that, it is the fault of clinging to reality. When not distracted, it is like entering into meditation. The meditator is drowsy and sleepy; this is the subtle obscuration of both knowledge and afflictions. If one is unable to completely eliminate these two, no matter how one meditates, it is of no benefit. That original awareness, free from thoughts, is separate from both distraction and non-distraction. There is neither gain nor loss, nor anything else. The snake-knot of form and clinging is untied. At that time, the five meditations dissolve into the expanse. Like a shepherd boy herding a herd of cows. The dualistic clinging of the caretaker falls into the sleep of ignorance, chasing after the traces of a rainbow that has vanished. It is not existent, yet it is in the center of space. It is not non-existent, yet it is the knower itself. It is the nature of original being, the essence of awareness. If one realizes this truth without error, it is said that one has met the meaning of Dzogchen. This is the way of realization of Dar and Gi. To which noble being is this offered? The five meditations are like rivers flowing east and west, although they appear separately, they eventually converge. The answer to being inseparable is self-nature. The way of unobstructed occurrence is offered to the stainless ocean of intention. Inseparability is beyond words, thoughts, and expression. To whom should one seek learning? These are our experiential talks, without concealment, presented nakedly. May this writing become liberation through hearing. Written by Yogi Kunsang Yonten for Nyi Lama Tenzin Dhargye.

When the winds of karma cease to blow, It transforms like the setting sun gathering its rays. When the collections of realization from indulgent conduct vanish, Like cutting off flowing water, the natural state does not appear. When experiences are absorbed into the expanse of emptiness, It is like swallowing everything. The spontaneously arising hesitation and doubt, both are cleared away. The wondrous appearances are like dreams in a lotus of sleep. Like a shepherd tending his flock. If not just a little, but completely free from attachment and hatred, The mass of flesh and blood will ripen into the body of the Victorious One. Having completely perfected the abandonment and realization of the ten bhumis and five paths, Without abandoning anything, one is liberated in the state of primordial wisdom. It is called the "Supreme Spontaneously Accomplished State." Lala Ho! In samsara and nirvana, Ama Ho! May we reach the other shore without obstacles! Ema Ho! How wonderful is the Dharma! The Buddhas of the three kayas' pure lands, And the sentient beings of the three realms of samsara, Through the emanations of good and supreme good, The two paths of liberation and delusion appear. The very beginning of the ground is the trunk itself. The self-arisen light that arises from it. Because it does not grasp from outside itself, Limitless Buddhas of the three times appear. Grasping onto one's own shadow and demonic influences, After these two appear slightly, The sentient beings of the three realms of samsara arise. The distinction between these two characteristics is that, It is like a person who has not fallen asleep, And like an example of someone who has not awakened. In reality, these two, samsara and nirvana, Although their essence is the same trunk, They are divided into two due to liberation and delusion. Now, the very essence of samsara, Is the habitual tendencies of ignorance, the alaya. The basis of all liberation is the absence of ignorance. These two are the difference in the ground. The distinction in the path is that, The Buddhas' bodies, wisdom, miraculous powers, and, Inconceivable accomplishments, Are like illusions and dreams, Never moving from the root even a little, But the spontaneously present power manifests. The path of delusion in sequence is non-grasping and, The form realm, desire realm, etc., with grasping. Everything is conceptual thought and habitual tendencies, And the clinging to the experience of bliss and clarity. From this, the faults of coarse afflictions, Appear, and the assembly of asuras and, The beings of the three realms of the world exist. Because the power of sinful actions increases, The beings of the three lower realms arise. Thus, the six classes of beings, Although their essence is the same trunk, Due to the manifestation of the six afflictions, The six paths of delusion arise separately. Dependent arising
