Thus it is clearly explained. O sons of noble families with fortunate karma, listen! Seeing the face of such a mandala is the result of accumulating merit from immeasurable kalpas. Therefore, before the power of the eyes is fully developed, look at the mandala. Before the power of the ears is fully developed, listen carefully. The appearance of the mandala as a square symbolizes the meaninglessness of the activities of limitless beings in the four continents. The appearance of five colors symbolizes the nature of the five wisdoms. Similarly, the four doors symbolize the four activities. The various desirable objects symbolize the spontaneous accomplishment of desires. The five layers of walls symbolize the complete accomplishment of the five kayas. The precious fence symbolizes the realization of inexhaustible qualities. The nets and half-nets adorned with symbols and qualities. The arrow and pennant that dispel ignorance and continuously benefit beings. The pillars of the eightfold noble path. The bases of the four miraculous feet. The steps of the four mindfulnesses. The male and female deer that unite emptiness and compassion. The thirteen levels of the foundation. The umbrella that protects from the suffering of afflictions. The central precious pinnacle that symbolizes the crowning achievement of all vehicles. The unchanging basis of reality, various stone wheels. The lotus fence unstained by faults. The vajra fence that destroys the armies of demons. The tent with its attachments, burning with the flames of wisdom that incinerate the thorns of afflictions and illuminate the darkness of ignorance, is the purification of the outer vessel, the palace. Within it, the inner essence is pure. The manner in which the wisdom deities reside is as follows: In the center of the lotus petals of the palace, the lord of the mandala, the Bhagavan, the supreme compassionate protector, is united indivisibly with the secret wisdom mother, with Amitabha on the crown of his head. In the center of his heart resides glorious Hayagriva. To the right of the main deity is the son holding a jewel, and to the left is the sonless secret mantra mother. Surrounding them on the six lotus petals are the six Bhagavan Thupas. Around that, the outer circle of lotus petals has four layers: the first circle has one hundred Buddhas, the second has two hundred, the third has three hundred, and the fourth has four hundred.

The thousand Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon, complete with their retinues, are present in their pure abodes. The four gates of the mandala are guarded by the four families: Vajra, Ratna, Padma, and Karma, each with their respective Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,Hūṃ,吽). All these deities, like paintings on a wall, are devoid of inherent existence, yet blaze with the splendor of marks and signs, adorned with complete ornaments and attire. They dwell in a swirling vortex of clear light and rainbow colors. I request them to reveal their faces and grant great joy. Thus, having properly received the teachings for entering the mandala, and with unwavering faith and intense longing for the meaning of the four empowerments, I implore you to follow this. Ho! Lamas and deities, please heed my call! For the ripening and liberation of my mind and for the benefit of all beings, please bestow the supreme and sacred empowerment. After making this request three times, take the main vase. Then, your body, speech, and mind are inherently the mandala of the noble Avalokiteśvara. As the master has already clarified, please invoke the wisdom and allow it to enter and stabilize. Thus, recognize that your three doors are the nature of the deity, and I, the master, also visualize myself as the actual noble Avalokiteśvara. This vase itself, in its outer form, represents the three kāyas. The round shape symbolizes the dharmakāya, the absence of elaboration. The ornaments such as the headpiece and necklace symbolize the saṃbhogakāya, complete with marks and signs. The nectar water within the vase symbolizes the nirmāṇakāya, acting for the benefit of beings. While the outer form is such, the inner is a palace where the five wisdom lights intermingle, adorned with splendid ornaments and arrangements. Within it dwells the noble Avalokiteśvara, the main deity, along with the retinue and emanations. Just by placing this on your crown, the deities will melt into the nature of nectar and flow from the Brahma aperture at the crown of your head, filling your entire body. All the sins, obscurations, and downfalls accumulated through the body from beginningless time will be purified. Grant the empowerment to meditate on the generation stage of the body mandala, and from this very moment, may all the interdependent connections for perfectly accomplishing the nirmāṇakāya be established.
