The three of hearing, contemplation, and meditation, which are measured by the elaboration of expression, and all the lower vehicles that are established in the mind, are destroyed in the tenets of fabrication by the mind. So it is said. Root text: Awareness does not abide in the realm of knowable objects, therefore it is free from clinging to "I" and "mine." In that, there is no meditation or object of meditation. If left in its natural, uncorrected state, it is seen nakedly. If one's own essence does not change into something else, then ignorance and clinging cannot lead one into existence. All those attachments to external objects and self, are not made by an agent, but arise from the increase of mental thoughts. All are born from a ground and root that do not exist. From the moment of birth, they are perfected in being unborn. There is no need for a realization other than that. Reading, holding, meditating, and thinking about treatises, when all the tenets of the mind are destroyed, then that itself is the Buddha without longing. So it is said. That is, all external objects, such as forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile objects, and all those who cling to them as self, are not made by another agent, but arise from the increase of one's own mental thoughts, yet all are born from a ground and root that do not exist, and from the moment of birth, they are perfected in being unborn, like clouds and rainbows in the sky, bubbles in water, and smoke from fire, which are without inherent existence. There is no need for a realization other than that. Reading the dharmas, holding, meditating, and thinking about treatises such as teaching, debating, and writing, if one knows that all are merely tenets of the mind, and they are destroyed in being without inherent existence, then because there is no other fruit to be longed for by the mind, that itself is what is called Buddha. So it is said. Root text: In particular, the supreme Tögal, because the radiance of awareness is seen directly, there are few places to stray. Because the coarse impurities of the outer arising earth, stones, mountains, rocks, and appearances of places are exhausted, the great elements' path of wisdom, clear great light, manifesting the inner arising Trekchö, even what could not be clearer than particles, matures into the great transference into a vajra body, and performs the benefit of others until samsara is not empty. Therefore, the characteristics of being superior to all the views, meditations, conduct, and results of one's own school's mental discernment, are the instructions that perfectly distinguish them. So it is said. Therefore, the difference of liberation through the diligent meditation on that, or the supreme Tögal is.

Due to directly seeing the radiance of awareness, there are few errors, and since the impurities of external elements such as earth, stones, mountains, and rocks are exhausted, the path of manifesting the place of the great elements as the great clarity of wisdom is realized. Even though the internal manifestation of Trekchö is merely purified into particles, it is not possible to transform into a rainbow body. This great transformation matures into a vajra body, and it is crucial to distinguish the difference between this doctrine and other doctrines through the activity of abiding until samsara is not empty for the benefit of others. Therefore, even those who claim to hold the doctrine of Dzogchen in their respective schools are different from all those who hold the view, meditation, conduct, and result of mental discernment as supreme. Therefore, perfectly distinguishing its characteristics is the key to this instruction. Furthermore, the difference between the light body and the meditative body is that the light body is the stainless self-light held by awareness, and is nothing other than the realm of the Buddha's eye. Although the subtle particles of the four elements of the meditative deity body are pure, there is a difference in appearance because it is a body of karmic ripening and habitual tendencies, possessing the divine eye. Among them, the distant-throwing water mirror is the door of manifestation, that is, the radiance of awareness appears and sees external objects, hence it is called distant, and it also binds and liberates according to whether it exists or not, hence the sound of a lasso is added. The lamp of the pure realm of reality is the radiance of the inner realm, the basis of manifestation, which is clear outwardly, and is merely designated as one's own nature. The lamp of the empty bindu is the support for the effort of the aspect of manifestation. The lamp of self-arisen wisdom is the nature of awareness that appears clearly and without objects, the unmistaken nature of insight. If divided, there are four types: the wisdom of liberation, the wisdom of generation, the wisdom of gathering, and the wisdom of discrimination. For example, the wisdom of hearing and thinking is conceptual discernment, and just as the wisdom of genuine meditation, when realized, is suchness, these four wisdoms are also individually gathered into the wisdom of discrimination. Root text: Although it is so, the mind that clings to self, until it is not extinguished in the pure space of the Dharmadhatu, the conceptual thoughts that are deceived by sudden causes, are obscured to the first karmic ones by the lord of existence of ordinary self-nature.
