To be loving and affectionate to those who have entered the path of view, meditation, and conduct. Not to speak to others about matters that should be kept secret and entrusted. Root: The branch vows are summarized into two categories. The first aspect is not to abandon the five poisons. Knowing the nature of afflictions is suchness itself. Being seized by skillful means is like a peacock eating poison. Knowing them as the five families from the beginning transforms them into the five wisdoms. This means that the branch vows are summarized into two categories. The first aspect is not to abandon the five poisons, which means that due to the difference between the superior and inferior vehicles, not to mention actually engaging in the afflictions of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, even the mere arising of thoughts in the mind is prevented. Compared to the Perfection Vehicle, it is divided into two aspects: abandoning and adopting. For the afflictions to be abandoned, one cultivates the antidote by increasing its power in terms of the unpleasant and impure substances, etc. Whatever of the three poisons it may be, one cultivates the antidote to it. However, in the Mantrayana, the truth of realizing thatness directly does not cause afflictions to appear as having self-nature, so because of the purity of their nature, there is nothing to abandon. The five afflictions are the lineage, nature, and activity of the Buddhas of the five families, so wisdom cannot be attained by abandoning afflictions. Root: The second aspect is the five great elixirs. Being certain to take them, one takes them as playing in the nature of reality. Knowing them as the nature of the five families, one takes them. Being the samaya substances for accomplishing siddhis, one takes them. Gathering the dakinis, one takes them because siddhis are near. Being the conduct of all Buddhas, one takes them. This means that the second aspect of the branch vows is the five great elixirs, namely feces, urine, female essence, male essence, and flesh, etc., which are certain to be taken. One takes them as playing in the nature of reality in the nature of reality. Knowing them as the nature of the five families, one takes them. One takes them as the supreme samaya substances for accomplishing great siddhis. They are the excellent substances for gathering the assemblies of dakinis and bringing about common siddhis, so one takes them. They are the conduct or behavior of all Buddhas of the three times, and as substances, one uses them without accepting or rejecting. Root: The divisions of the parts are definitely two hundred in number, and summarizing them into twenty is the system of the Omniscient Rong.

Dividing thirty-two into two parts results in sixty. Dividing a single branch into twenty parts results in two hundred, totaling three hundred and sixty. Summarizing all these into twenty, this is the view of Rongpa Chökyi Zangpo, who sees all knowable things. Root: In the aspect of mind, the names of "non-existence" and "oneness," "equality," and "spontaneous accomplishment," without guarding boundaries, without something to transcend, inconceivable, the abiding manner of the essence, bound by vows. The way of the King of Vajras, primordially without defilement. This is because the Great Perfection is the Noble Path, so the abiding manner of the essence is bound by the bonds of the four great vows. First, the vow of the essence, primordially pure, free from elaboration, and spontaneously arisen, is not moving from the nature of reality, which has no guarding boundaries, and abiding as the essence of great wisdom, which is without action and spontaneously perfect, is impossible to guard. Second, in this way, understanding that there is no place to abide, either internally or externally, without allowing the mind of conceptualization to enter into the awareness of the five senses, transforming phenomena into the nature of reality, is called equality. Third, in this way, in the sound of the nature of reality, which is without essence, the collection of wisdom and qualities abides as spontaneously accomplished by nature, and not separating from the practice of the four appearances of phenomena, is the vow of spontaneous accomplishment. Fourth, in this way, in both vows and samayas, the distinctions of right and wrong, the existence and non-existence of things, birth and death, and the measuring of the two, self and other, by the mind and conceptualization that grasp whether or not they are understood, all that is understood by the affirmative mind of negation, affirmation, and speculation is transformed into the single taste of the nature of reality. Because it is not seen when looked at, it is transformed into the single taste of nature. Because it cannot be expressed in words, it is transformed into the single taste of wisdom, and is called oneness. For the vow that is free from guarding boundaries, such an abiding manner of the essence that has nothing to transcend and is inconceivable is bound by vows, that is, primordially without defilement, the King of Vajras, which is the way of the exceedingly profound yoga of the highest vehicle. Even so, the Great Teacher said: My mantra mind is more inclined towards view. In the future, many who are skilled in words but have not attained the confidence of view will go to the lower realms. When the time comes for this, one should not imitate the actions of previous wise and accomplished beings like lions, doing things like dogs jumping and foxes leaping.
