Among those who have heard and those of their own country's caste or those who have entered that path, having stayed for seven years, yet without knowing the suchness of the four views, meditations, practices, and results of the profound tantric lineage, and the practice of rituals, etc., merely being dominated by the ignorance of foolishness, boasting themselves as great Vajradharas, even though they have not reached a high position themselves, they deceive others by associating with false appearances in a false manner. Even if they have received empowerment, they again explain secrets to those with wrong views and doubts who do not believe in secret mantra Vajrayana. The root is: The summary compiled by Nagarjuna, as well as the heroes and Likshamkara, from which there are other meanings. Without having purified the practice, they rush to give empowerment and consecration, fire offerings, and gathering disciples. Other than the tsok khor, afternoon meals, etc., unnecessarily transgressing the rules of individual liberation and Bodhisattva vows, they denigrate themselves and become the cause of robbing accomplishments. It is said that one should also examine the gross aspects that have been spoken of. This is the meaning of the summary compiled by the great teacher Nagarjuna, and similarly, the heroes and Likshamkara also derive other meanings from those things, whatever deity it may be, without having purified the practice, they perform the sequence of empowerment, and similarly, consecration, fire offerings, etc., and rush to gather disciples, boasting of doing things for others before their own affairs such as empowerment and Dharma talks are accomplished. Consuming afternoon meals, etc., other than the tsok khor of the tantric tradition, transgressing the rules of individual liberation and Bodhisattva vows unnecessarily, this will cause oneself to be denigrated, unable to attain accomplishments, and become the cause of robbing accomplishments, etc., have been said in many great treatises, and one should carefully examine these gross aspects. The so-called "vow" refers to what was spoken from the mouth of the supreme Buddha, and the words are related to this, and it is the altruistic activity of proclaiming the sacred Dharma. The root is: Like this, the fourteen root downfalls common to unsurpassed yoga are summarized by Bhavyahla, widely spread and well known to all. In addition, in the respective systems of the four tantra classes, the number of fourteen is fixed, and it is clearly stated in the Kalachakra and general tantra manifest enlightenment, etc. This refers to all fourteen root downfalls common to the outer tantra yoga tantra and the inner tantra unsurpassed, in India

Compiled by the teacher Bhavyila, it is widespread and well-known throughout India and Tibet. Furthermore, the number of fourteen root vows for each of the four classes of tantra, as clearly stated in the Kalachakra and the general tantra Abhisambodhi, etc. Thus it is said. Root verse: A yogi should rather die or give up his life, if he does not constantly guard his vows. A person who practices mantra has no third path other than hell and Buddhahood. This means that a yogi, that is, one who has entered the gate of mantra and is diligent in the two ripenings and liberations and the two stages, should learn to rather die or give up his life in order to keep his vows. Therefore, if one does not constantly guard one's vows, no matter whether the person who practices mantra is high or low, after this life ends, downwards are the three lower realms, and upwards are the two grounds of Buddhahood, and there is no third path to go, just as a snake that falls into a bamboo tube has no way to go except up or down. Therefore, it is very important to diligently guard one's vows, and if one does not know how to guard them, or if one knows but neglects them and practices mantra, there will be no accomplishment, and even if one makes offerings, the deity will not accept them, etc., which is a great fault, so it is very important not to confuse what to abandon and what to adopt. Root verse: Therefore, if you fall, expose your own faults, and immediately strive for a remedy. In particular, the first root downfall is very serious. Serve the guru with reverence, and offer the three circles completely pure. Repeat the empowerment, retake the vows, and take the close abiding and self-entry many times. This means that those who enter mantra in this way are the cause of both increase and decrease, so if a fault of downfall occurs, you should expose your own faults, that is, reveal your own shortcomings, and immediately strive for a remedy according to the method described in this treatise. Among the root and branch vows of mantra, especially the first root downfall, which arises from relying on the guru, is very serious. If the guru is manifestly present, then in that way, and even if he is not present, you should serve with reverence with an excellent assembly offering according to his ritual, offering the object of offering, the guru, the one who makes the offering, yourself, and the wealth and possessions offered, etc., without being defiled by the poison of clinging to things as real, and offer with the three circles completely pure, knowing the essential points as they are. And
