The habits of the body are purified and cleansed. Because of its purity, the fruit is perfected on the basis with the form of a deity that is in accordance with the way the Buddhas abide in Nirvana. Thus, the generation stage that is in accordance with both samsara and Nirvana becomes a method for maturing the completion stage. Therefore, the faults of samsara are purified and the qualities of Nirvana are perfected. These three ripening factors are generally cherished. For the two great beings who practice the Mahayana path, the only thing to strive for is to accomplish the Rupakaya for the benefit of sentient beings. The way to obtain it is to purify the vows and precepts in the mantra path, which is very important. Furthermore, in order to manifest the fruit lineage, it is necessary to gather both the proximate cause and the co-emergent condition. Therefore, the proximate cause is the basis or the lineage of the cause, and the agent is the method or the lineage of the path. Therefore, the three paths of samsara, Nirvana, and the path are all included in the basis, path, and fruit lineages. Among them, what appears at the time of self-nature co-emergence is samsara, and emptiness is Nirvana. During the practice, the mind is samsara, and the absence of self-nature is Nirvana. At the time of the fruit lineage, spontaneous accomplishment is samsara, and the change of state is Nirvana. In short, by combining the key points of the path and the method lineage, the lineage of method and cause and effect exists in these three. Furthermore, if one realizes the nature of the mind that is inherent in all sentient beings, the Tathagatagarbha, one becomes a Buddha. If one does not realize it, it becomes the cause of samsara. This is the basis lineage. From the perspective of essence and liberation from bondage, although the true nature of reality has not been separated from various impurities, its self-nature has never been contaminated. This is the Tathagatagarbha. From the perspective of the uncharacteristic Dharmakaya and the unceasing radiance of self-nature, as the basis of the qualities of the Rupakaya, it becomes various names such as Bodhicitta, the inseparability of truth, and self-arisen wisdom at the time of the path.
