The view that all views are unsustainable, but are self-liberated and disappear without a trace, is the philosophical view of the Great Perfection Mind Series. Root verse: Thus, the ālaya and the dharmakāya are two; though one in essence, the dharmakāya is like an ocean. The consciousness of the ālaya is its obscuration, floating in both samsara and nirvana like a boat. From that very ground, the dharmatā of delusion and liberation are like falling asleep and awakening from it. Delusion is like the deep sleep of impaired senses; liberation is like the state of awakening from it. That is because the essence of the dharmakāya, the stainless awareness, is not something to be reversed in any way, and ultimately exists as the basis of liberation, like waking up from sleep. The nature of the ālaya is like falling asleep. Since it becomes the basis for the appearance of various illusions and dreams, it is an impurity to be purified, so one must awaken from it. Furthermore, there are four types: the ālaya of original meaning, the ālaya of skillful means, the ālaya of habitual body, and the ālaya of various habits, so one should know their different characteristics. The reason why the term ālaya is applied is that it retains the previous habits, receives the subsequent maturation, the order of cause and effect maturing sequentially, and is the co-creator of happiness and suffering, hence the name ālaya. Therefore, considering the ālaya to be the dharmakāya is prohibited even in the common vehicle, let alone in the unsurpassed secret vehicle. Therefore, the ālaya is the same as the eight consciousnesses, possessing both grasping and being grasped, so the dualistic thoughts are obstacles to wisdom. The nature of wisdom is the same as the dharmakāya, each possessing its own self-aware nature, transcending the thoughts of samsara. Root verse: The spontaneously accomplished ground of initial indeterminacy, and the primordially pure kadag, the final place of liberation, are one in substance, but the basis of later delusion. It is crucial to know the difference between doing and not doing. Explanation: The spontaneously accomplished ground of initial indeterminacy is the basis for both samsara and nirvana. The primordially pure kadag, the final place of liberation, is the transformation of the spontaneously accomplished nature into awareness, abandoning ignorance and perfecting the qualities of the dharmadhatu. Although the two have the same qualities of awareness residing in the three aspects of essence, nature, and compassion, they differ in terms of purity and impurity.

Because there is a difference in whether or not it becomes the basis of error, those who say that the fruit is liberated on the basis should be recognized as the image of Dzogchen. Thus it is said. Root: Likewise, the liberation ground of the sphere of reality, primordial purity (ka dag), and the awareness of the present path, the two primordial purity (ka dag), although equal without limit and partiality, the liberation ground itself is the wind-mind part and together with it, the completely purified samsara and nirvana are primordial purity (ka dag). At the time of the path, the impurity of the wind-mind is not purified, accompanied by the power of conditions, and the mind and mental factors are defiled and burdened by the impurities, so the real dwelling is only a few times. This says that the liberation ground of the sphere of reality, primordial purity (ka dag), and the awareness of the yogi entering the path, the two primordial purity (ka dag), are not different things, so they are equal without limit and partiality, the liberation ground itself is the collection of impurities of the wind-mind part and together with it, the completely purified samsara and nirvana are pure from the beginning, at the time of the path, because the impurity of the wind-mind is not purified, accompanied by the power of conditions, and the mind and mental factors are defiled and burdened by the impurities, so the real dwelling is only a few times. Therefore, just as the wise measure the three supports, it is very important to determine the characteristics of both the real and the basis. Otherwise, even if the basis is seen but the real is not determined, it is like a child seeing a temple. Thus it is said. Root: Likewise, the awareness radiance of the bardo of dharmata, and the two illusory bodies of deities accustomed to conceptualization, although the same as the deity body, in the manifested pure land, there is a difference between appearing, pacifying, knowing liberation and non-liberation. This says that, likewise, the awareness radiance of the bardo of dharmata appears as the peaceful and wrathful deity assembly, and the two illusory bodies of deities accustomed to conceptualization, that is, the generation stage, although the same as the deity body, in the manifested pure land, there is a big difference between appearing, pacifying, knowing liberation and non-liberation. Thus it is said. Root: In particular, those who have entered this path and have vows, the enjoyment body gathered by the appearance of the ten bhumis, is unobstructed, its example is, in the self-nature emanation pure land, establish the eye illusion and quickly go. This says that, in particular, those who have entered this path and have vows, even if they have not reached the end of the path of practice, the semi-manifest enjoyment body gathered by the appearance of the ten bodhisattva bhumis is unobstructed, its example is, in the self-nature emanation pure land, like the eye
