"Pa and" refers to the Vajra, which here refers to the Vajra of true suchness, which possesses seven qualities. It is fine to say either of these two. The term "Vehicle" is like a strong animal such as an elephant carrying a heavy load; here, too, the Vajra Vehicle carries all appearances, existence, samsara, and nirvana. It is the Vehicle of means to transform the phenomena of samsara into nirvana, or the treasury of vidyadharas. It is important to know how this well-known Vehicle surpasses the causal Vehicle in many ways, so make an effort to study the extensive commentaries. Root text: From the perspective of continuity, it is the continuum of the ground, path, and fruition. Relying on the two stages, skillful means and wisdom are connected. Through the power of asceticism, the gateway to enter is vast. By empowering sharp faculties, the conduct is swift. This means that the term "Tantra" means continuous, which is called "Tantra Santa (藏文,梵文天城体,tantra santa,梵文罗马拟音,Continuum)". In the mantra tantras, it is possible to accomplish subtle things such as pacification, and it is possible to accomplish great common siddhis such as clairvoyance and miracles, and it is possible to accomplish non-abiding nirvana, etc., so it is called "Tantra." Furthermore, the Tantra of the Ground is the Sugata-garbha, the Tantra of the Path is the generation and completion stage meditation and recitation, and the Tantra of the Fruit is the Body and Wisdom. Moreover, because it relies on the two stages, skillful means and wisdom are combined. Through the power of asceticism, such as breaking the fast and fasting, one is not exhausted, so the gateway to the mantra path is vast. Among the three faculties—dull, middling, and sharp—it is the supreme and unsurpassed path that empowers the latter, so the conduct is swift. Furthermore, because it is the sacred intention of the Buddhas of the three times, it is difficult for those without merit and those whose minds are untrained to realize, so it is secret. Because it is not suitable for the conduct of worldly people and Hinayana practitioners, it should be kept secret. Also, because it is accomplished by concealing it, it is secret. Such secret mantras, because they have many methods, one should first understand what one's own afflictions are, and then rely on the yoga of the deity mantra that subdues those afflictions, and rely on many gateways such as the skillful means of transforming concepts, thereby liberating oneself and having the means to guide others to realization, so it has many methods. Also, because of asceticism and vows.

It does not harm sentient beings with its conduct, and it reveals the path of how to desire. Without needing to accomplish through hardship, it has many profound and vast methods for subduing afflictions, enabling oneself and others to be liberated, thus it is without difficulty. No matter how much non-virtuous actions such as the five heinous crimes are committed, one is not tainted, and it is skillful in methods for guiding beings. Like the characteristic vehicle, one does not need to practice the extensive conduct of the grounds and perfections for a long time, and there is a method for quickly accomplishing in this very life, thus it is swift. Root text: Considering the times, it has the three-fold perfection, the two-fold perfection, and the four-fold strife. Considering the castes, the Brahmin caste, the Chandalas caste, the king, and the commoners or outcastes. Considering the faculties, dull, middling, sharp, and supreme. That is to say, it is spoken in consideration of the times: in the time of perfection, the Action Tantra has the three-fold perfection, the Performance Tantra has the two-fold perfection, and the Yoga Tantra. In the time of strife, the Anuttarayoga is spoken. Considering the castes, the Action Tantra is for the Brahmins, the Performance Tantra is for the Chandalas caste, the Yoga Tantra is for the royal caste, and the Anuttarayoga Tantra is for the commoners or outcastes. The three faculties of dull, middling, and sharp are also explained in this way. Root text: The Dharma is Action, Performance, Yoga, and Anuttara. The first three are outer secret mantras, the Buddha truly spoke of the characteristic vehicle, and the conduct of pure vows is mostly the same. The conduct of desire that contradicts the time of strife is the path, and the deities are not in union. One does not consume the five meats and five elixirs. That is to say, the number of the four classes of tantras is fixed, namely Kriya, Upa, and Yoga, these three general tantras are spoken by the Buddha in a form free from attachment, and like the characteristic vehicle, there are many pure and impure things, and many things to be abandoned and adopted, and the conduct is mostly the same as the Hinayana, and in the time of strife, the desire of the union of male and female is the conduct that contradicts this, and the deities are not meditated upon as the union of father and mother, and one cannot consume the inner samaya substances such as the five meats and five elixirs. Root text: If divided, there are the Action Tantra and the Performance Tantra. Heroes, heroines, knowledge mantras, dharani mantras, deities. In the Action Tantra, it is like a lord and a servant, in the Performance Tantra, it is like the manner of brothers and friends. In the Action Tantra, one also accomplishes like a lord and a servant, without self-generation of the deity, one places oneself in a lower position. Some have it.
