The bonds of afflictions are so powerful that they tightly bind even the very essence of mind, which is like the nature of emptiness. Clinging to the existence of self and other, it revolves like a wheel of fire. Although there is no ignorance at the base, when the base of potential manifests, the aspect of not recognizing one's own nature becomes the unspecified state of the alaya consciousness, from which arise six kinds of ignorance and six kinds of discriminating consciousness, thus creating delusion. These six kinds of ignorance are: the fundamental ignorance of mind, the ignorance of deluded objects, the ignorance of the base of delusion, the ignorance of clinging to conceptualization, the ignorance of artificial paths, and the ignorance of unknowing bewilderment. Thus, when six kinds of ignorance arise, the manifestation of wisdom is not recognized. Root verse: In samsara, some see light, some see darkness. Some see nectar, some see water and fire. All completely contradictory perceptions follow karmic imprints, and nothing is certain. That is to say, in this place of existence, only humans can perceive the four elements separately, while for others, what some perceive as light, like the sun, is perceived as darkness by fireflies and others. What some perceive as nectar is this single water, which gods perceive as nectar, hell beings perceive as fire, and pretas perceive as pus and blood. All these contradictory perceptions, these inverted perceptions, only follow their respective karmic imprints, and nothing can be certain. Combining this with the story, in the sutra where the son of the gods, Padma Nampar Rolpa, asked Manjushri many questions and received answers, it is said: These external objects are not made by a creator, but are manifestations of the karmic imprints of not realizing the mind. And so on, as explained in many sutras. Root verse: Even so, the objects that appear are not the mind. Although the reflection of a face enters a mirror, it is only a condition of interdependent arising, and the face and the mirror never mix. That is to say, even though the accumulation of karmic imprints is such a great fault, the six objects that the mind enters are not the mind itself. For example, although the reflection of one's face enters the mirror, it is only a condition of interdependent arising, and the face and the mirror never mix. At that time, whatever actions others do to oneself, such as beating or using, the reflection in the mirror

Just like not experiencing any happiness or suffering. Root verse: The mind that mistakenly grasps the non-existent appearance, like seeing a variegated rope and mistaking it for a snake. The first consciousness is the object of grasping, and later, investigation and analysis lead to grasping. All phenomena should be understood in this way. This means that the characteristic of appearance is appearing as non-existent, similar to a dream. However, grasping onto it is due to the influence of a deluded mind. For example, when one sees a variegated rope and mistakes it for a snake, the initial consciousness or conceptual thought is the object of grasping. Afterwards, investigation and analysis are applied to the previous conceptual thought, leading to further grasping. If one says that the object of grasping is the variegated rope that appears as a snake, and the grasper is one's own consciousness, then there is no difference between that and a foolish cowherd. Root verse: If one says that the appearance as a snake is the object of grasping, and the grasper is the master's consciousness, then even a person who cannot distinguish between appearance and the object of appearance will also exist or not exist together with the appearance. This means that if one believes that the appearance of a snake in a rope is the object of grasping, and the grasper is the master's consciousness, then a person who cannot distinguish between the snake appearing in the mind and the object of appearance should also exist or not exist together with the appearance. Appearance refers to all the appearances of the six consciousnesses arising in the presence of a mind, not existing in inanimate objects without a mind. The six objects are the objects of appearance, not the appearance itself. Root verse: In whatever place, ignorance, grasping, and sudden conditions, the lord of existence, between me and mine, if the root of the illusion of non-existence is severed, the all-creating king will dissolve into his own nature. This means that in whatever place, for whomever, the power of the essence of ignorance manifests as grasping and rejection, clinging to the selfless mind as self, clinging to the non-different appearance as different, the sudden condition, the lord of existence, between me and mine, that is, clinging to myself as me, if the root of the illusion of non-existence is severed, then the mind of the all-creating king will naturally dissolve into its own nature, just like clouds dissolving into the sky. The concise commentary that opens the lock of the treasury of qualities, the precious key like a drop of water from the ocean, the end of the eleventh chapter.
