It is also merely a stepping stone to the state of the Great Perfection, and the core subject of all teachings is the Perfection of Wisdom. When that itself reaches the state of being beyond object and thought, it is merely termed the Great Perfection. If the basis of the explanation of such a Great Perfection doctrine is not determined, then those who are greatly learned but have little practice will say that it is a doctrine that degrades skillful means, and thus they will cast aspersions on the non-conceptual nature of the noble path. Root text: Here, the dharmas of samsara and nirvana, do not move from the expanse, nor do they change into something else. Samsara and nirvana are not established, but the nature of the ground is complete with essence, nature, and compassion. This means that, according to this text, neither samsara nor nirvana are established, and therefore they do not move from the expanse, nor do they change into something else. Like that, the ground in which both samsara and nirvana are not established is like the sky, and its nature is essence emptiness, beyond expression, nature is the basis for the appearance and expansion of both samsara and nirvana, and compassion is the power of both delusion and liberation, appearing in various ways and being complete. Root text: In that very state, purity is the Buddha, and impurity is the sentient being, the division of samsara and nirvana, like dreams that do not move in sleep, they do not come from anywhere, nor do they transform into something else. This means that, as just explained, in its very state, purity is the Buddha, and impurity is the sentient being, all the dharmas belonging to the division of samsara and nirvana, just as in sleep, no matter how one dreams of walking, standing, lying down, etc., the dreams do not move elsewhere, they do not come from anywhere, nor do they transform into something else. Root text: Briefly, the tenets of how the ground abides, primordial purity, spontaneous presence, undetermined and determined meaning, anything is possible and anything can be accepted, all the seven rainbows of various desires, each aspect of the single essence of primordial purity, others who hold their own doctrines separately, like seven blind men touching the genitals of an elephant, and describing the color of a swan. This means that, if one temporarily, merely verbally, determines the tenets of how the ground abides, that is, the nature of mind, then the ground can be considered primordially pure, and similarly, it can be considered spontaneously present, undetermined, and the actual essence of determined meaning.

Furthermore, there are seven views: believing that it can be transformed into anything, believing that anything can be promised, and believing that there are various kinds. Like this, these seven views are all because of the essence of originally pure awareness, each with a one-sided understanding of the way of assumption, and thus failed to obtain a definite understanding. If the basis is originally pure, then the illusion of the occurrence of samsara is impossible to arise, because the self-nature of the Tathagatagarbha is stainless. It is also not spontaneously accomplished, just as the color of coal cannot be changed, it cannot be the cause of the separation of samsara and nirvana, and samsara and nirvana are already spontaneously accomplished separately. It does not depend on the conditions of the two accumulations, and even if the samsaric beings practice the path, it becomes meaningless. It is also not uncertain, because purity will become impurity, and impurity will also become purity, because there is no definite boundary, so even the Buddha will fall into samsara, and sentient beings will be liberated effortlessly, so it is also not uncertain. Believing in certainty is also unreasonable, if before enlightenment it is said that there is a basis for enlightenment, nirvana exists, then it is the same as the heretics who believe in permanence, which contradicts the view of wanting to be liberated from causes and conditions. If not enlightened is also the basis, then who will know that its essence is nirvana? If you say so, then there is no need to be liberated from the beginning. It is also impossible to believe that it can be transformed into anything, if transformed into permanence, then it is impossible to cut the sky, if not transformed into impermanence, it will also change. If the basis can be transformed, then the result will regress into the cause, leading to many faults such as the mutual transformation of matter and awareness. It is also impossible to believe that anything can be promised, because it will lead to endless faults such as the rabbit's horn and the widow's son creating samsara and nirvana. It is also unreasonable to believe that the basis is various kinds, if the various kinds are external appearances, then there will be the fault of multiple bases appearing, if it is internal awareness, then there will be the fault of over-attachment to the basis. If it is believed that the two are combined, then because of the relationship of mutual dependence, it cannot become one. Like this, these seven bases are the aspect of knowable awareness that is attached to extreme views, that is, attachment to the part of enlightenment, just like many blind people touching an elephant, although they have no eyes, they touch with their hands, each saying the extent of their understanding, but none of them hit the point. Root text: Here, the essence is pure from the beginning, The qualities are spontaneously accomplished, neither one nor different, Free from objective characteristics and elaboration, the original purity is, Deeply clear and without cessation.
