This is about the order of attainment. Even so, the great master (Padmasambhava) said, "In my mantra mind aspect, there are more cases of biased views. In the future, many people, although proficient in words, will not be able to grasp the view and will fall into evil destinies." When this era arrives, people like the past great achiever Singha, their behavior is like a dog jumping and a fox leaping, not doing this is also inevitable. Root: In order to purify the self-continuum of those who enter the path, a precious vase that can be repaired after being damaged is the best. The doctrine of elaborating vows is: For the body, speech, and mind of the root guru, there are three sets of outer, inner, and secret vows. Abandon killing, not engaging in impure conduct, and not stealing. Do not slander parents, siblings, or one's own Dharma. Do not step over the guru's shadow, do not mistreat the consort, and do not beat siblings. The three of speech are to abandon lying, divisive speech, and harsh words. Do not respect those who speak the Dharma, do not contemplate the meaning, and do not respect practitioners who abide in reality. Do not despise the guru's consort and siblings. The three of mind are to abandon the three poisons of mind, as well as wrong conduct, meditation, and views. Maintain consistency with the guru and Dharma friends in view, practice, and meditation, and care for all beings. That is to say, merely being interested in mantra, in order to purify the self-continuum of those who enter the path. Apart from a few who have pure karma and aspirations from the past, it is difficult to keep vows as they are, therefore, it can be repaired after being damaged, like a precious vase made of gold and other jewels, even if it is slightly damaged, it can be repaired by its own power. The doctrine of elaborating vows is: The one who can truly recognize the nature of one's own mind, no matter how high or low his origin is, is the root guru, because his teachings are a reliable lineage. Therefore, for the body, speech, and mind of the guru, the outer, inner, and secret vows are spoken in three sets, because only from the root can it be understood. First, the outer, inner, and secret vows of the body are: abandoning killing is the outer vow, not engaging in impure conduct is the inner vow, and stealing is the secret vow. In its explanation, the inner three of the body are in order: slandering parents, siblings, and one's own Dharma. The secret three of the body are: stepping over the guru's shadow, mistreating the consort, and beating siblings. The outer, inner, and secret vows of speech are: not lying, not engaging in divisive speech, and not speaking harsh words. Not respecting those who speak the Dharma, not contemplating the meaning, that is, not respecting those who are diligent in hearing and thinking, and not respecting practitioners who abide in reality, these three are the inner vows.

To revile the words of the guru's consort and the three siblings is secret. Abandon the three of mind: covetousness, harmfulness, and wrong view. The three perverted actions, meditation, and views, namely, not truly understanding within. Not keeping in mind the guru, deity, and Dharma siblings who are in harmony in view and practice, and thus generating wrong views, etc. For those who have entered the path, since they have not yet touched the fruit, it is extremely important to strive to purify one's own mindstream without introducing errors into the words bound by the great bond of samaya, in the manner of abiding in their natural state. Thus, these twenty-seven root downfalls are not to be transgressed, and having established them as samaya, from the aspect of being seized by skillful means, they are divided into two: what is permitted and what is forbidden, aiming at whether or not they transform into benefiting others. Root: Twenty-five branches under the power of skillful means. Taking what is not given, speaking falsehoods, words of jest. The five to be practiced are practiced with the knowledge of what is permitted and forbidden. These five sets of five explained in this way are the teachings of the unsurpassable secret mantra, which from the beginning are enlightened in the great mandala of the three vajras of the Buddhas, so both samsara and nirvana are sealed with the mudra of Samantabhadra. These are the samayas of certainty, and if one realizes them in this way, the dharmas are joined into the realm of Samantabhadra, so one does not create faults for oneself, and with great benefit to others, one has the power to practice the vows without acceptance or rejection as they are literally, and one does not create both black and white karma and its results. The combination of these five to be practiced is based on the tantras spoken from the lineage of those who can make the channels and winds function, relying on mudras (Sanskrit: Mudra) without completeness according to the tantric texts, and liberating those who have the seven degenerations and the ten fields, applying them to activities of material power, power, etc. Liberating the three lower realms, etc., with great compassion. Taking what is not given, taking with various skillful means such as skull cups suitable for secret mantra, consorts with marks, and especially consorts who are compatible with them. Speaking falsehoods and harsh words in order to avert harm to the teachings and beings, and to accomplish benefit. Root: Desire, hatred, ignorance, the five afflictions. The five not to be abandoned are inseparable from one's own mindstream. Thus, realizing the equality of samsara and nirvana without differentiation is ignorance. For those who do not realize it in this way, desire arises with great compassion.
