The worldly dharmas of words and their meanings are beyond that. Consciousness is to approach and abide in form, feeling, perception, and volition. Wisdom is to fully know the aggregate of consciousness that abides in the four aggregates of form, feeling, perception, and volition. In short, those that mainly show the abiding nature of reality are called definitive sutras, and those that show the path of entering into that nature are called provisional dharmas. Root text: In order to clarify the nature of those, and in order to realize the intention of the meaning, The two, intention and metaphor, are explained. The first is intention: There is also explanation with slight exaggeration, For the sake of temporarily pleasing the objects to be tamed, Not only for one purpose, but with necessity, Together with these, the intentions are shown as four. This means that in order to clarify the nature of those, that is, what was said above, and in order to realize the intention of the meaning, the two, intention and metaphor, are explained. The first, intention, is generally to place a single object of focus in the mind, but not to reveal it outwardly. Even so, there is also explanation with slight exaggeration, which means that for the key point placed in the mind, it is not hidden and directly shown, but rather a slight hint is given, like hiding the key point. That is, for the objects to be tamed, that is, other beings, temporarily, that is, immediately pleasing, not only for one purpose, but together with special necessity, the intentions are shown as four. Root text: The intention of equality, even contradictions are shown as one, The intention of different meanings, if examined, is shown as unestablished, The intention of different times, effortless enlightenment is shown, The intention of individuals, the attachment to their superiority is disparaged. This is also the intention of equality, that is, in the relative appearance, samsara and nirvana, good and bad, etc., the objects and subjects of dualistic grasping, even if they become contradictory phenomena, the yogi who has realized the ultimate truth will show the contradictory and non-contradictory phenomena as one in the realm of dharma, free from elaboration. The intention of different meanings is: The imputed characteristic is without inherent existence, that is, it is not established in the ultimate truth; The dependent arising is without inherent existence, that is, arising from the four extremes is not established; The perfectly established is without inherent existence in the ultimate truth, because it is free from all elaboration. The intention of different times

Furthermore, whoever holds, proclaims, or recites this "Samantabhadra's Aspiration for Excellent Conduct," the Buddhas know its ripening result; do not doubt supreme enlightenment. This indicates that although one may not attain enlightenment without relying on other causes and conditions, for those who have previously accumulated much merit, it becomes like a helmsman guiding a ship to the other shore. As for individuals, it also means condemning those who cling to the six perfections, or any other phenomena they deem to be with or without characteristics, as something supreme, based on their own experiences. As the sutra says, "To be manifestly attached to the six perfections is also the work of demons." Root verse: The expedient intention is that for any disciple who cannot comprehend and has doubts, in order to lead them onto the correct path, one explains in a roundabout way with names and parts that they like, so that the words are the same but the meaning is different. That is to say, the expedient intention is that when the time comes to tame any being who needs to be tamed, if they are of inferior lineage and cannot comprehend the Mahayana's six perfections or tantras, etc., and they have doubts and develop inferior thoughts, then in order to lead them onto the correct path, one explains in a roundabout way with names and parts of the Hinayana that they like, so that the words conform to the Hinayana, while the meaning conforms to the Mahayana, thus resulting in the words being the same but the meaning being different. For example, in the past, King Ajatashatru killed his father, King Bimbisara, and committed other acts of the five heinous crimes. After some time, the king felt remorse and in his palace, bodhisattvas and great shravakas were washing their bowls and hands. The king, in order to listen to the Dharma, sat before Manjushri, who had transformed into a youth, and said, "Manjushri, please dispel my remorse." Manjushri said, "Great king, your remorse cannot be dispelled even by Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges." The king, finding no refuge, fell to the ground. Then, the great Elder Kashyapa said to the king, "Great king, the noble Manjushri is skilled in expressing himself with expedient words."
