Moreover, it is said that the initial practitioners, as well as those who practice with faith, those who abide in the seven impure grounds, and those who abide in the three pure grounds, attain them in sequence. Root text: Skillful in means, directly or indirectly, Constantly benefiting all sentient beings, Giving, loving speech, beneficial conduct, and acting in accordance with the meaning, Virtuous Dharma-gathering discipline, with wide open doors. This speaks of being skilled in the means of accomplishing the benefit of others, from directly or indirectly, having no partiality towards any sentient beings, but only taking benefit as important, what is needed is giving, pleasing speech, acting for the benefit of those to be tamed, encouraging others to accomplish, and acting in accordance with Dharma, these are the discipline of gathering virtuous Dharma, that is, there is no difference in the object of practice, the doors are not narrow but wide open, that is, constantly practicing them, only ripening their continuum through benefiting others. Root text: Among the six things to be examined, It is included in examining the prosperity and decline of one's own Dharma, If one can maintain the Dharma path without loss, then one should benefit others, One should observe the mistakes of ordinary people who harm themselves. This speaks of, in the discipline of benefiting sentient beings, although it is said that one should examine six things, its meaning lies in examining the prosperity and decline of one's own Dharma. That is to say, while not losing one's own Dharma, one should benefit others as much as possible, and observe the mistakes of ordinary people who decline from practicing the Dharma for their own benefit. If one's own precepts are not lost, and one can accomplish great benefit to others, then one should take that as the main thing. Ordinary people, at the appropriate time, in order to accomplish the benefit of sentient beings again, should think about their own mistakes, examine them with wisdom, and take guarding against decline as the main thing, and also accomplish the benefit of others incidentally with compassion. Root text: If great benefit to others can be accomplished, then there is an opportunity to allow small precepts, such as abandoning villages for the sake of cities, abandoning land for oneself, and abandoning oneself for the sake of Dharma. This speaks of, not abandoning great benefit for the sake of small results, but if great benefit to others can be accomplished, then there is an opportunity to allow small precepts, such as abandoning villages for the benefit of cities, abandoning land for oneself, and abandoning cherishing one's own body in order not to abandon the Dharma. In short, relying on these three disciplines, one should practice the three trainings, and

The fruit of realization is Buddhahood. Like this, with the discipline of the Pratimoksha vows, one can completely abandon all defilements, including the two obscurations and their habitual tendencies. By accumulating merit and Dharma, one obtains complete realization and the wisdom of knowing things as they are and as many as they are. By benefiting sentient beings, one accomplishes the cause of perfect activity, and both benefits are spontaneously accomplished. Root verse: In this land of non-anger and patience, the sweet fragrance of Dharma spreads and grows, what difficulty is there in enduring hardships, not fearing profound meanings, there are three kinds. This means that in the appearance of this life, so-called non-anger is to spread out the practitioner of patience and the object of patience—anger—equally, like the earth. On this, the sweet fragrance of the supreme Dharma grows, and one can also endure the difficulty of protecting this sweet fragrance, and one does not mind the harm caused by others, and one does not fear the profound meaning, there are these three kinds of patience. The first is to achieve Buddhahood for one's own benefit, and to benefit sentient beings for the benefit of others. For the benefit of these two, one can endure the suffering of difficult practices. The second is that no matter how others directly or indirectly harm or injure me with evil ways, I do not take it to heart. The third is that the faith in the Dharma is not taken away by any cause, and one does not fear the profound meaning, which is the patience of no object. Root verse: The mind is extremely rigid and produces anger, the manifestation of sin is like a spreading vine, those who fear falling into the hell of no interval, should never open the door of anger. This means that, like this, the mind with ordinary self-nature is extremely rigid because it has not been tamed, and the mind of anger that arises from it is like the darkness of sin manifesting and spreading like a vine. For those wise people who are destined to fall into the hell of no interval and are afraid, they should never leave an opportunity for anger at any time. Root verse: Enemies are like thorns in the forest, difficult to tame and subdue, growing everywhere, if one can tame the enemy of anger, the asceticism of patience will please me. This means that those enemies who harm oneself are like countless thorns in the forest. Even if one tries to tame them, it is difficult to tame them completely, and they will grow everywhere.
