In this regard, there are five dharmas that are superior to the lower ones, namely: the antidote of refutation, the antidote of abandonment, the antidote of reliance, and the antidote of prolongation, etc., these five. When the nature of reality is directly seen, it is the path of seeing. The basis of the path of seeing is the seven branches of enlightenment, namely: mindfulness, discrimination of dharma, diligence, joy, tranquility, concentration, and equanimity, these seven are the branches of enlightenment. As it is said in the "Friendly Epistle." At this time, one is also liberated from the two obscurations. The stains of the five perfections, such as generosity, and miserliness, etc., are the obscurations of affliction. The wisdom that clings to the three circles as real, and the nature of the unlabelled and unspecified, which becomes the grasper and the grasped, is the obscuration of knowledge. Therefore, one is liberated from both. At that time, when the transcendental wisdom is first attained, the objects to be abandoned and their seeds are simultaneously extinguished. Through the wisdom of individual self-awareness, the two selflessnesses are directly realized, and one obtains unprecedented great joy, hence it is called "very joyful." At this time, in a single moment, one can see the faces of a hundred Buddhas and know that one has been blessed. One can also emanate a hundred bodies and manifest them for a hundred eons. The eye of wisdom can enter into a hundred places of the past and future. One enters into and arises from a hundred samadhis, ripens a hundred sentient beings, shakes a hundred buddha-fields and illuminates them with light, opens a hundred doors of conduct, manifests a hundred bodies, and each of them is surrounded by retinues. In the future, one can obtain the birth of a king who rules over Jambudvipa, and it is said that one can also take birth at will. At this time, one possesses the eightfold noble path, namely: right view, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration, right speech, right action, and right understanding, these are the eight branches of the path. As it is said in the "Friendly Epistle." Furthermore, although the ten bhumis are established in relation to the purification of the ten stains of the ten perfections, one mainly practices each of the ten perfections, while also accomplishing the remaining perfections. These are also divided into the three types of the path of cultivation: small, medium, and large, hence there are nine. The smallest of the small, the second bhumi, the stainless bhumi, is the perfection of discipline, etc. One should know that all the lower ones are combined with the ten bhumis and ten perfections of its explanation. The medium of the small is the third bhumi, the illuminating bhumi, the great of the small is the bhumi.

The fourth is the Radiating Ground. The fully ripened results of these three are: the first will be reborn as a golden wheel-turning monarch; the second will be reborn as the king of the gods, Indra; the third will take birth as the king of the Joyful Gods. The lesser of the middling is the fifth, the Difficult to Train Ground; the middling of the middling is the sixth, the Manifest Ground; the greater of the middling is the seventh, the Far-Going Ground. These three will also: the first will be reborn in Tushita; the second in the Enjoying Emanations; the third will become the king of the Controlling Others' Emanations. The lesser of the great is the eighth, the Immovable Ground; the middling of the great is the ninth, the Good Intelligence Ground; the greater of the great is the tenth, the Cloud of Dharma Ground. The first of these three will be reborn as the great god Brahma; the second as the Great Brahma; the third will become the lord of the Pure Abode Gods. From that point on, the second ground has twelve thousand qualities, the third has twelve hundred thousand qualities, the fourth has twelve kotis of qualities, the fifth has twelve million kotis of qualities, the sixth has twelve billion kotis of qualities, the seventh has twelve trillion kotis of qualities, the eighth obtains qualities such as beholding the face of Buddhas equal to the dust particles of one great thousand world. The ninth obtains qualities equal to the number of dust particles of ten billion inexpressible great thousand worlds. The tenth manifests in a single instant twelve qualities such as beholding the face of Buddhas equal to the number of atoms in unspeakable unspeakable Buddhafields. Above, when explaining the qualities of the ten grounds, although it was said that one takes rebirth as the king of the noble gods in the order of wheel-turning monarchs, etc., it is not the case that all kings of those positions are situated in those positions, because ordinary beings have accumulated great merit, and emanations of the Tathagatas also appear in this way to benefit beings. Moreover, from the first ground onwards, one obtains mastery over life, and although there is no inherent hope or fear of birth and death, it is also said that one shows the appearance of birth, aging, sickness, and death merely as a semblance for the sake of guiding beings. The ultimate of the five paths, the path of no more learning, is the time when all that is to be learned is exhausted. According to the Hearers, enlightenment occurs from the kshatriya or brahmin caste in Jambudvipa; according to the Mahayana, after passing the five Pure Abodes, the Great自在
