Thus, constant and manifest, without antidote or relatives. Deeds arising from the basis of virtues, The five types of good and evil, heavy and light, Are said to be the consciousness that draws near. That is to say, among them, the constant is a small sin, but in the end, it accumulates in the mind for a long time, leading to the practice of sins such as killing. Manifest is the sin that accumulates in the mind, and until it is accomplished, the mind is not at peace, and one strives only for that. Without antidote is that whatever arises of attachment and aversion, one does not regret it even a little, and strives for the means to accomplish it. There are two bases, the main one being virtues: the Three Jewels and the Bodhisattva who is connected by one lifetime, and the person who is liberated from afflictions, and all those who strive from the heart to practice virtue and abandon evil. In terms of benefiting the base, there are parents, and those who are kind in both ways, and the helpless and unprotected, the pitiful and poor, and those who are tormented by enemies, etc. These five types are the important deeds of both good and non-good, which must not be missed in their entry and exit, and must be known as such. Root: The basis of all is the alaya, the unstated. From it arise the mind and the consciousness of the five objects. The great demon of ignorance, pervading all, Holds the three poisons, causing high and low in samsara. That is to say, thus, the alaya is the nature of the mind of all sentient beings, the ground of ignorance and delusion, the source of the eighty-four thousand afflictions, the unstated that has not arisen from any collection of thoughts of good and evil. From it arises the discriminating consciousness, the alaya consciousness is the source of all conventional dharmas, but it does not spread outward, it seems to spread but does not spread, this is what is called subtle nowadays, this is what some people recognize. From it arises the mind that grasps at it, only the object that can be recognized arises, and there is sometimes subtle observation of the subtle basis of thought, and sometimes there is not, this is the mind that grasps at self where there is no self. From it arises the mind of attachment and aversion, such as the five poisons, which arises as if preparing to arise earlier, and arises in the aspect of acceptance and rejection, this is the afflicted mind, and in it, all the entry and exit of acceptance and rejection is the consciousness of the mind. In short, the alaya without thought is the cause, the ignorance of the same nature.

And, among them, the clinging to self is the coemergent ignorance; and all that arises from the mind and the afflicted mind, appearing as the aspects of the grasped and the grasper, both internal and external, is the imputational ignorance. Furthermore, the consciousness that enters the five objects relying on the five sense faculties, the collection of the later consciousnesses arises and expands from the former consciousness, therefore it is called the source of arising. Thus, the five faculties, the five consciousnesses, and the five objects gather together, contacting each other and producing contact, and from that, the feelings of attachment, aversion, etc., arise due to conditions. Among them, the internal mind faculty is the master of all the ways of grasping the two, attachment, aversion, hope, fear, abandonment, and acceptance, which arise from the external five sense consciousnesses. Internally, it is the source of all hidden gross aggregates, and the support of the three realms. And its support or basis is called the mind. All the collections of thoughts, both internal and external, knowing each of their respective aspects as they are, are called consciousness. However, the Sutras, Tantras, and various philosophical schools have their own views, but that's all for here. In short, from the object of knowledge, the faculty of knowing, and the attention, the motivation of the three poisons arises, and all the accumulated actions are unwholesome. Contrary to that, all the actions accumulated by love, compassion, etc., are wholesome. Moreover, no matter how much white karma is accumulated, held by the three supreme ones, it only produces the happiness of gods and humans and then is exhausted, therefore it is the virtue that is in accordance with merit. Contrary to that, that which is held by the three supreme ones is the virtue that is in accordance with liberation, becoming the cause of enlightenment. Contrary to both of these, even the virtue mixed with the motivation of the three poisons becomes the cause of suffering such as the evil realms. Root verse: Just as fire burns what it touches, and the only thing that can extinguish it is water, there is no sin greater than deceiving the Three Jewels. The meaning is: Just as fire burns fiercely, burning whatever it touches, and the only thing that can pacify and extinguish it is water. Even if immeasurable sins have been accumulated, if one takes refuge in the Three Jewels and confesses, it can still be purified. However, destroying Buddha images, scriptures, and stupas, and deceiving others by selling scriptures, and recklessly squandering the wealth of the Sangha, etc.
