Even if one accepts (evil deeds), or enters the Hinayana, or settles for mediocrity, in any case, such a person is riding on a ship of sin and will fall lower and lower. Root (verse): Destroying the four maras is armor-like diligence, walking the path of the ten bhumis is the diligence of combination, not fearing, not retreating, without satisfaction, the wishes of the diligent will all be fulfilled. This is to say that the son of the gods is controlled by the eight worldly dharmas, thereby abandoning the benefits of the next life; the five poisons of afflictions and the eighty-four thousand thoughts such as the three poisons cause people to be distracted, and the mind cannot be calm; clinging to one's own five aggregates, being controlled by suffering and happiness and hope and fear; merely having the intention to practice the Dharma, but the wishes are not fulfilled, being interrupted by laziness and entering the five paths, destroying these is armor-like diligence; walking the path of the ten bhumis is the diligence of combination; when the difficulty of benefiting sentient beings comes, not fearing means putting oneself down, not only doing what is within one's ability, one must accept difficulties and overcome fatigue; not retreating also means that when encountering difficult-to-accomplish altruistic things, because of frustration, turning to accomplishing self-interest, recognizing that these are faults. Without satisfaction means that from life to life, from kalpa to kalpa, not considering one's own interests in one's heart, diligent ones who are not slack in accomplishing the benefit of others, no matter who they are, can accomplish all that they wish for. However, on the Paramita path, one must give up one's body and life again and again, and one cannot retreat from it, etc., although it is frightening, but each person must also gradually adapt according to their own strength of wisdom. The sutras say that diligence is very important, and although the future Maitreya Buddha generated Bodhicitta before becoming a Buddha, because of the difference in diligence, he became a Buddha before Prince Siddhartha, so it is very important to increase the power of diligence. Root (verse): My life has reached the end of the day, the darkness of death is approaching rapidly, the actions of samsara are more numerous than the stars, but that one breath cannot be exhaled. This is to say that the life of sentient beings is

When the sun sets, reaching its end, and the darkness of the manifestation of death approaches swiftly, the actions of samsara, more numerous than the stars, cannot grant the eternal bliss of "no more breathing," which is a derogatory remark. Moreover, the faults of the body, the king (referring to the body) states to the clear king (referring to wisdom) as follows: impermanence, instability, untrustworthiness, etc., are spoken of extensively. Ultimately, it is shown that the antidote to laziness, the opposite of diligence, is remembering impermanence, which is the essence of the oral instructions. Root verse: The diligence that clears away the impurity of laziness, the slow flow is not to show partiality, until reaching the ocean of omniscience, do not abandon the conduct of moving and swiftness. This means that the river there is like being stained by the dirt of impurity, the opposite of diligence is laziness, therefore, one should be free from such faults. The analogy of diligence without slackening is the slow flow, that is, the great river does not show that it can be blocked from all directions, until one has not reached the state of the omniscient Buddha like the ocean, just as that river does not abandon the conduct of moving and swiftness, so too, I will not abandon diligence. Although diligence is placed in one category, in reality, it is the companion of the six perfections, without it, the others will also become the fault of decline, and possessing it, one can bring the six perfections to completion. The following is a description of the qualities of the place before meditation: Root verse: The medicinal land where forests and flowers bloom, swans rely on it with great tranquility, the pleasant to look at rocky valleys, adorned by young deer frolicking. This means that the place for meditation practice is not a noisy place like a dwelling, the medicinal land where forests and flowers bloom, etc., swans are free from harsh behavior, relying on it with great tranquility, the pleasant to look at rocky valleys and young deer frolicking, exist in a naturally accomplished manner, and not only that. Root verse: The joyful forest, the belt of the goddess, the net of young cottonwood buds swaying, the cuckoos, not fearing suspicion, spread letters of words of renunciation of samsara. This means
