That is how it is done. The external obstacles are: in summer, the moon is also hot, and in winter, the sun is also cold. Trees with abundant fruits wither in an instant. Rivers also become the same. The pretas wandering in the sky are: decaying bodies and corpses, madmen and forgetful ones, yakshas, flesh-eating ghouls and shadow oppressors, those who emaciate and Namaz, curses and demons, ogres and Tsen, kings, and all kinds of sentient beings. These are classified as ghosts. Nowadays, some say that the dead do not go anywhere and are among the living, which is nothing but a delusion of a cow flaunting its golden color. Whatever deceased person is born into the retinue of these sky-faring pretas due to their accumulated karma, they harm the wealth of the living out of resentment and blood feud. Moreover, those who have departed from the heart center inflict harm and torment by transferring the feeling of their own previous death throes, and those with power torment them with mantras and punishments. Furthermore, they also have bodies and sufferings similar to those of short-lived beings. Root verse: Even in the birthplace of animals, there is killing, binding, beating, and various sufferings. For those who have abandoned peace and virtue, there is mutual devouring, which is extremely unbearable. This means that animals have two situations: scattered and gathered. The first is that they kill each other, the large ones eat many small ones, and many small ones pierce and eat the bodies of the large ones. Furthermore, there is suffering from being killed by stones and other things. Being bound by ropes, beaten, and forced into servitude, they experience various sufferings. Separated from a peaceful mind and abandoning virtue, they must endure the extremely unbearable suffering of mutual devouring, which is prolonged and intense. It is said in the scriptures that nagas should also be included in the animal realm. Thus, the sufferings of the three lower realms are briefly described. Root verse: Therefore, if the light of suffering of birth and death, and the clamorous sound of the waves cannot be stopped, even if one obtains a body superior to that of the gods, one will only wander in the unstable wilderness. This means that therefore, samsara in general, and especially the lower realms.

In order to avert the suffering of the three realms. If we cannot avert here the suffering of birth, which is like a flood, and the faults that roar like the waves of the sea, then this human body, which is superior to the gods and like a bubble, will suddenly be destroyed, and we will be born again and again in samsara, without stability, and involuntarily become like a piece of ice wandering in a dry desert. Root text: The formless samadhi, the unindicated karma, when exhausted, will lead to actions in the next life. The karma of the previous form realm meditation will be exhausted, and one will fall below and experience the suffering of change. This means that the beings of the formless realm exhaust the karma of being born there, and at the same time as awakening from the samadhi of quiescence, they are weary of the suffering of the next life. The beings of the form realm are also like this; the cause of being born there, the bliss of meditation, changes, and they must endure the suffering of falling into the next life. Root text: Brahma, the king of gods, and the wheel-turning king, like the sun in the clouds, with white ripening, seek an opportunity and abandon it in an instant, like a lamp flame consuming oil, they decline. This means that the chief deity of the form realm, the Great Brahma, obtains the bliss of detachment; the chief deity of the desire realm, Kausika (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), is rich and complete; and the chief human being, the wheel-turning king, possesses the seven treasures and the fourfold army, and rules over the four continents, etc. All of these supports of the body, like the sun in the clouds, are obtained, and it is also because of the white ripening that they find a slight opportunity for bliss, but just as when awakening from sleep, in the instant of abandoning bliss, the cause of being born there, like a lamp flame consuming oil, is exhausted and declines. Root text: The soft touch that yields when pressed, the crowns of gods, nagas, humans, or kimnaras, redden the lotus feet of the powerful, scorched at the tip of a burning iron blade. This means that the ground of the cold land, which seems lovely to look at, is soft when pressed and high when lifted. When the feet are placed on it, the touch is very soft, and when the ornaments and jewels on the heads of the thirty-three gods, nagas, and kimnaras, etc., touch the feet of Indra, even the lotus on the feet turns red.
