Having done. Experiencing feelings. Root (verse): The four of speech are lying, deceiving others, Insinuatingly confusing perception and deceiving the mind of offerings. Divisive speech seems friendly or neutral in existence, Insinuatingly picking on words, repeating others' mistakes, creating hatred. Idle talk arises from trivial words, generating attachment and aversion, Insinuatingly saying things unrelated to war and bandits. Harsh words pierce the hearts of others, Insinuatingly providing causes and conditions that displease others. Thus, true lying is perfected by four branches, namely, the basis of speech is not mistaken, having the intention to deceive others in mind and speaking untruthfully, and changing their perception. Furthermore, for matters of hesitation, making reckless assertions before they are determined is also called lying. Combining the guru and one's own thoughts, no matter what has not surpassed the ordinary, but boasting of hidden things by claiming to possess qualities, supernatural powers, etc., this is a huge lie, known as the lie of the human dharma guru. It is also necessary to understand how to distinguish the size of lies by whether or not they harm others. Divisive speech is perfected by three branches, namely, dividing the original harmony or neutral basis, speaking divisive words, and ultimately understanding their meaning. Among them, forceful divisive speech is face-to-face division, secret divisive speech is division behind the back, and biased divisive speech is dividing by making the basis of division happy. Idle talk has two branches, namely, wanting to speak unlawful words and speaking them. Thus, speaking meaningless words with a mind of attachment and aversion can all be classified as idle talk. Harsh words are perfected by three branches, namely, specifically targeting the person being spoken to, speaking of their faults, etc., and ultimately making them unhappy. It can be divided into face-to-face harsh words and indirect harsh words. Root (verse): Of the three of mind, the first is covetousness, Greedily desiring the wealth of others, taking it as one's own. Insinuatingly coveting and enjoying the possessions of others. Harmful thoughts make others angry, causing harm. Insinuatingly cultivating separation from beneficial relationships. Wrong view sees cause and effect as non-existent, or as permanent or nihilistic. Insinuatingly saying that what is non-existent exists, and saying that what exists does not exist. Thus, covetousness has two branches, namely, the object of covetousness is the property of others, and generating covetousness towards it. The meaning is greedily desiring the wealth and enjoyment of others,

To be arrogant, thinking that all actions should belong to me or should be obtained by me. Anger has two branches: first, recognizing the object to be harmed, and second, generating anger towards that object. It is also associated with four dharmas: the anger of wanting to harm and desiring to torment, the anger of holding grudges and not expressing them, the arrogance of being unable to tolerate it, the resentment of wanting to kill or beat the other, and the ignorance of not considering shame and faults at all. Wrong view has two branches: first, thinking that the principle of infallible cause and effect is reversed, and not wanting good and bad actions to bring about the results of happiness and suffering. The root is: everything matures in the manner of four fruits. Vipāka fruit, nisyanda fruit, adhipati fruit, and puruṣakāra fruit. Therefore, vipāka fruit, nisyanda fruit, and adhipati or ownership fruit are three, and puruṣakāra fruit is the fourth. The root is: the vipāka fruit has five characteristics and is related to a different kind. Small actions caused by the three afflictions lead to rebirth as animals, medium actions lead to rebirth as pretas, and major actions lead to rebirth as hell beings. Thus, the vipāka fruit has five characteristics, namely the mind aroused by any of the three poisons, the subsequent action, the basis of the action—the intention itself, the result of the action—the actual action, and the final rejoicing. If these five characteristics are complete, then the non-virtuous action is completed. That is, if the ten non-virtuous actions are practiced in a small way and only out of ignorance, one will be reborn as an animal; if practiced in a medium way and out of desire, one will be reborn as a preta; if practiced in a great way and out of hatred, one will be reborn in hell, and so on. This is a brief summary of what is explained in the *Satipaṭṭhāna Sūtra*. Killing a pratyekabuddha is the worst of killing; stealing the property of the Three Jewels is the worst of ungenerosity; engaging in sexual misconduct with one's mother and an arhat nun is the worst of sexual misconduct; slandering the Buddhas is the worst of lying; causing dissension in the sangha is the worst of divisive speech; speaking ill of the noble ones is the worst of harsh speech; distracting those who want to practice the Dharma is the worst of idle talk; coveting and seizing the food and wealth rightfully obtained by others is the worst of greed; harboring malice towards those who commit the five heinous crimes is the worst of hatred; holding one's own view as the most supreme is wrong view.
