I believe that the self of a person is merely a conceptual designation and has no substance. The Mahasanghika school and others believe that conditioned phenomena eventually perish, but not instantaneously, and they also believe in some kind of permanent entity. The eternal, singular, and independent self posited by non-Buddhists does not exist, but in general, I believe that there is a "self" that is substantially existent and truly existent. Although this has the fault of self-grasping, and it seems that there is no path to liberation, because of taking refuge in the Three Jewels, and having the discipline of desiring liberation, and the three trainings of hearing, thinking, and meditating, one will gradually attain liberation. This Vaibhashika school believes that the seven Abhidharma treatises should be revered, and that views and tenets must be accepted according to the system of the treatises, and that the treatises are identified as the Great Vibhasha. Root verse: Whatever has the ability to perform a function, that here is ultimately existent, the rest is conventionally existent. This is explained by the characteristics of self and generality. The tenets of the Sautrantika school are in accordance with reason. This means that from the nature of clinging to reality, both external objects and self-awareness are acknowledged, and the person who enters into explaining the tenets of the Lesser Vehicle is the nature of the Sautrantika. If divided, there are two types: those who follow the scriptures and those who follow reasoning. The first is the seven Abhidharma treatises revered by the Vaibhashika school, which are considered to be the treatises of the seven Arhats such as Shariputra, and they hold the tenets accordingly. The latter is explained based on the Treasury of Logic and other texts, and the tenets are explained based on the Sutra school. The basis, the conventional truth, is established as true by the non-conceptual mind, which is conventional, because it obscures the seeing of the reality of the self-characteristic of things. In this way, the appearing object of the conceptual thoughts that arise in the mind is pervaded by the general characteristic, and the general characteristic, the unreal phenomena, and the conventional truth are the same in pervasiveness. The manifest appearance, that is, the object of the six consciousnesses, is pervaded by the self-characteristic, and the self-characteristic, the real, and the ultimate truth are considered to be the same in pervasiveness. In short, the former, such as the general characteristic, is called the conventional truth, and the latter, such as the self-characteristic, is called the ultimate truth. This is the view of the Sautrantika school. To put it more simply, it is the three unconditioned phenomena such as space and the object.

The ten forms, such as color, and conditioned phenomena that lack arising and ceasing, are said to be imputed, merely conceptualized by the mind, and therefore not truly existent. The gross continuum of forms and the continuum of consciousness are not truly established. Past and future phenomena are also merely imputed, while the momentary particles of the present and the momentary consciousness are indivisible and truly established. The eye does not see the form, and neither does eye-consciousness truly see the form; rather, the appearance of form in eye-consciousness is known as the aspect of form, which becomes known, and it is believed that there are external objects such as form that create the appearance. The seven Abhidharma treatises, etc., are not the words of the Buddha, and there are errors in the Vibhasha, etc., so it is believed that the tenets must be in accordance with the Sutra Pitaka. Both the Vibhasha and Sutra schools say that the Buddha's teachings are only these collections spoken for the sake of the Shravakas. And these Sutras of the Mahayana, such as the Prajnaparamita, are not the words of the Buddha, and the difference between the Great and Small Vehicles is distinguished from the perspective of the individual, and there is no difference in the scriptures. They also say that among the Shravakas, there are emanated Shravakas, such as Mahakashyapa and Subhuti, and Devadatta and the Group of Six are also included in the emanations. The Shravaka's path to peace is to enter as explained in their own path, and holding tenets is when a Mahayanist holds the tenets of the Shravakas. Transforming into perfect enlightenment is from obtaining the forbearance of the path of joining. Among them, Shravakas have two types: ordinary beings and those of the vehicle of accumulation; from Stream-enterers and Once-returners, they take a characteristic body in the desire realm and practice the conduct of the Great Vehicle. Non-returners perform the benefit of others with an emanation body, and are born in the pure land of the realm of no remainder, and are encouraged by the Buddha to perform the benefit of others. The Mind-Only School: Root verse: The objects and subjects that appear as the two, grasper and grasped, are the conventional truth; there is nothing else besides that. The non-dual wisdom is the ultimate truth; this is the tenet of the Mind-Only School. This means that those Buddhist tenet proponents who do not acknowledge external objects but acknowledge true establishment are called the Mind-Only School or the Yogachara School. In terms of classification, the gross and clear appearance of form that appears manifestly to the sense consciousness of the continuum of ordinary beings
