Having gone to Ü-Tsang, I listened to the Mahāmudrā. At twenty-six, I returned to my homeland and was seized by those who were displeased. At the age of thirty, urged by weariness and renunciation, I hastened to Dzogchen Monastery, where I listened to and contemplated teachings such as the Nyingtik Yabzhi. Having gone to Ü-Tsang, I requested the Mahāmudrā again. Once more, in the cave of Rudam Gangdrak, for seven years, I diligently practiced whatever instructions I received on Mahāmudrā and Dzogchen, and as prophesied by the Lord of the Lineage, I met my father, and was also cared for by other holy protectors. Receiving many empowerments and liberations, I wandered through solitary sacred places and became familiar with the essential points of the instructions. Even so, although I strived in practice in a manner similar to the learned and accomplished ones of the past, the diverging paths of disagreement arose in this way: Mila attained accomplishment after six years of meditation. The Stone Lama, despite striving for nine years, lacked accomplishment. Snyigom, by relying on Mila for six months, developed the ability to manipulate wind and mind, and realized freedom from elaboration. The Stone Lama, despite pretending to strive for many years, only received great honor from fools for his accomplishments. In the vast land of Bhota, he studied whatever Dharma was flourishing, and his accomplishments elevated him as a lama in the three regions of China, Tibet, and Mongolia. The Stone Lama, though boasting of his study, reflection, and meditation, was like a bull showing off its golden color in the middle of a herd. Kunchhen Chhenpo, by meditating on the meaning of Atiyoga for six years, perfected Trekchö and Tögal. The Stone Lama still remained in an ordinary state. Padma Rigdzin, by meditating on Dzogchen for countless years, reached the limit and manifested realization. The Stone Lama, even past sixty, remained in a state of attachment and aversion. My father, by meditating for six years, ripened the good results of Sutra and Tantra into the Great Perfection, and through his power, became the protector of all beings, including the gods. The Stone Lama wandered everywhere, yet remained in a state of hope and doubt. Furthermore, some actions, though seemingly beautiful, are in accordance with samsara, and in this way, he displayed a secret biography. He strived in activities such as war and theft, destroying others. The Stone Lama recklessly squandered wealth on the living and the dead. Some chieftains strived to torment their own people. The Stone Lama worked to make himself suffer in the future. Most lamas displayed various activities. The Stone Lama taught secret mantras to gatherings of those who were not vessels. A few noble beings, rich in study and reflection, illuminated the darkness that others did not understand, as clear as day. The Stone Lama, with many thoughts, arrogantly claimed to know various things, yet he was like a star in the daytime.

Just as (the moon) cannot radiate light. Those practitioners with faith, besides the experience and the recitation meditation of the generation and completion stages, abandon distractions. When the stone lama engages in listening and thinking, he prays for meditation; when meditating, he is distracted by listening and thinking, both of which are poor. Some great lamas, through various activities, are never懈怠 in benefiting sentient beings. Although the stone lama strives to subdue enemies and protect relatives, he will only increase greed and hatred in the end. Not dedicating himself to listening and thinking, he sporadically pursues recitation meditation, and in addition to village rituals, he strives to use the path without distraction. Even if the stone lama does retreat and practice, he is in a state of "what to do". Some people are always in a state of fear of death. Even when the stone lama faces death, he plans to stay long. The wise ones who hold vows protect the jewel of vows. The stone lama flatters the non-believing patrons. Most people regard the stone lama as a place of offering. The stone lama has little respect and faith for the lama with whom he has connections. Although outwardly conforming to the Dharma, it is a manifestation of contradictory thoughts and actions, and the secret biography is revealed. Seventh, again, continuing from the above false biography, at the intersection of Bragchen Pangtsang, the terrain is excellent, with the conditions of a land of ten virtues. After communicating with the visible and invisible land spirits, on the 18th day of the third month of the Iron Horse year, through the Chöd ritual of subduing the ground and the Vajrakila practice, as well as the essence of the smoke offering, the land was made usable, and finally the rough layout of the eight-pillared meditation room was completed. It happened that at the time of Bubye Laksha, the leader of the lower Wangchen of Golok, in order to decline, the leader Norbu colluded with the attendant, and I had to go there, unable to refuse their strong request, so I went to all the leaders of the lower Wangchen and all the nomads of the upper region, and established pure connections. In addition, some officials and monks of Golok Achong, especially with the venerable lama brothers, and Mije Dampuya Palapushdipa, who was seated in the position of Mahararaja, expressed friendship and invited me, but for the time being, the conditions were not ripe, and in both Dharma and politics, we enjoyed the nectar of various conversations, just like meeting in person. On the way back to my hometown, I gradually reached my hometown, before which I had gone to the border between Han and Tibet.
