From there, when I went to Lhundrub Gang, I had to stay for ten days due to illness. After that, enduring severe pain, I reached Dzogchen after two days of travel. There, urged by Tulku Rinpoche's nephew, Samdrub, I offered a life entrustment of Tseringma (long life deity), and stayed there. Due to some demonic manifestations, signs of internal Vajra conflict also appeared as they were, and feeling dejected, I barely reached Chabtsanka, where I diligently soaked in the hot springs for nine days. When I went to Shechen Monastery, as per the wishes of the lamas, I met with the representatives of the monastery and the new estate, and diligently performed Ganachakra (feast offering) and offerings to Samsara and Nirvana. Finally, I reached the monastery, and fearing that staying for a long time would cause the illness to recur, I immediately proceeded, progressing on the path. Although I had good intentions towards the people, my actions were harsh. The faith and devotion of the Khyungtsang Dzongpon (district governor) were expressed in three ways, and with a completely accepting attitude, he dispatched a large number of soldiers and an equal amount of supplies, and accompanied me to Pochen Bumthang. Fearing that it would be difficult for the escorts to return, they went back, and we gradually proceeded, reaching the opposite bank of the Sda River. There, we also established Dharma connections with several tribes such as Sda Nyi, and proceeded without delay. When we reached Snyi Khok Chulung on the tenth day of the fifth month, both legs were bent and I could not stand for ten days. On the twentieth of that month, we crossed the river and settled down at the end of Nyingkong Goma, together with the local and foreign populations of Garpa. For some reason, a dream clearly revealed the auspiciousness of needing to build a complete scripture, and I myself, along with all available horses and yaks, and Chokdrub and his sons, offered as much material and food as possible, and Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) did the same. Lhabum and all others also offered as much material and food as possible, and built twelve volumes of the "Hundred Thousand Songs," as well as two volumes of the "Twenty-five Thousand Songs," three volumes of the "Eight Thousand Songs," and one volume of the "Jataka Tree of Wish-Fulfillment," offering offerings worth six sets of tea utensils for each volume, and offering twenty-five silver coins for writing materials. Lama Kunsang Norbu, as the witness of the head and management, offered nine items including horses, mounts, and musical instruments, and spent the summer there, and at harvest time, the Khenpo of Garpa...

On the day of being settled in Ogto (place name), Lama Gyurme (person name) and his entourage were sent from Derge (place name) for medical treatment. Not long after that, Gonpo Dondrup (person name) and his entourage were sent from Derge to check if I could return. After careful examination, the hope of returning was dashed. Lama Gyurme and his disciples also diligently provided medical treatment, but to no avail. When they were about to leave, they departed with offerings and other good things. Afterwards, thirteen good lamas named Chopa were invited from the local area, with the thought that they would be of great help in matters related to life and death. Moreover, because I had accumulated a lot of debt from traveling around, I aimed to purify obscurations and performed the hundred-thousand-fold recitation of the Vajrasattva mantra related to peaceful and wrathful practices. Finally, I performed a hundred thousand peaceful fire offerings for six weeks, day and night, doing my best without any pretense. In the end, I also offered belongings worth the equivalent of one horse each, and earnestly made dedications and prayers. During that time of day and night practice, Getse Rinpoche (person name) came from Tsakho (place name). When he was about to return to his hometown, he descended upon our camp and stayed for a few days. He also bestowed some empowerments and subsequent permissions, and generously gave a silver coin and two mules as medical expenses. In addition, the Derge female leader's residence also sent about two silver coins as support for medical expenses. One of the silver coins was used to buy tea, which was brewed into six pots and twenty-five servings, and given to everyone in the local area, regardless of their status, as expenses for fasting. Afterwards, all the families in Ruba (place name) observed several fasting sessions each. That winter, we built a good fence in a place called Naktsang and stayed there, but we never felt comfortable living there. Around the middle of winter, Tsakho Phuntsok Dzong (place name) transported more than a hundred loads of grain. We gave them travel expenses and offered congratulatory gifts to the government palace. After that, we stayed leisurely in that spring. At that time, Rekong Lama returned from Lhasa and received the transmissions of the two treasures of Yabje (person name) and his sons, as well as some empowerments of the liberation teachings of Trungpo Tertön. After returning, he also arranged the transmission of the empowerment of Klongde Dorje Zampa.
