The liberation that does not go beyond the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and ignorance is, in general, if we speak slightly from the aspect of particular virtuous deeds, places like Gochen, Dwags Lha sgom po Zhechen, Pelyul, Kathog, Dzogchen, and Tsering Jong, as mentioned above, received the instructions of ripening and liberation. Also, I went to places like Chos 'khor rnam gsum four times, and did my best to purify obscurations by doing prostrations and circumambulations. I stayed for seven years in places like Dzogchen Ri Gangpa. In other places like Kham and U-Tsang, I stayed for a hundred days wherever I went, and there were many monthly retreats, etc. I wandered through many practice places, dangerous places, and cemeteries. In Lhasa, Samye, Khra 'brug, Tsari, Gampo, Je Kunbum, Kathog, Pelyul, and Zhechen Dzogchen, I accumulated as much merit as possible. In addition, in offerings, etc., I offered as much as I could, holding ten silver srangs, and I also gave the same amount to pilgrims. Not counting the small offerings to some relatives, from the time I, Chos Grags, stayed in my place until now, I gave away more than three stone-measures of things, and since then I have given away thirty-four stone-measures of things for virtuous deeds. I also ransomed lives about a hundred times, and I made a vow to give alms to beggars without considering whether they were coming or going, and not to let them return empty-handed, and I did so. In particular, I made offerings to the Ganden Phodrang government, some officials of Qinghai, several kings of Gyalrong, and the kings of Sakya and Derge, and I also established Dharma connections with them. Those who had bad relations were only a few, such as the officials of Do-tod, but for the disciples of a Bodhisattva, there is no distinction between good and bad. At that time, thanks to the kindness of Sa-wang Rinpoche, I had a few milking cows, and besides owning food, clothing, and cushions, I had gone beyond horses, livestock, furniture, etc., and had obtained rest in the position of freedom. As Rnam snang lo tsā ba said: When you offer whatever you have to the lama, you will be happy even if you die of starvation or freezing. Sachen said: The enjoyment of giving alms seems to decrease, but in reality it increases. The suffering endured in practice seems painful, but in reality it is happiness. Although it is said like that, in the worldly Dharma, it is said: In Tibet, food and wealth are the most important. Therefore, even though I know that the way to make the three classes of people, high, middle, and low, happy depends only on food and wealth, now I am too old.

I reflect on my faults of not being able to settle down in practice, and especially on the fact that I had planned to enter the five paths this year but postponed it for a while. Therefore, I pray to the Three Jewels that at the end of this life, I will not be swayed by worldly affairs and distractions. The reason for honestly recounting my own cycle of existence is that Gyalrong Won Tulku Rinpoche, Lama Palden Gyatso, Ge Tse Soden, friend Takgyal, Pema Chöpel, and others have been urging me to write a little for a long time, and Sa Wang Dakini Paljinma also said that I should write down these things. Furthermore, although there is little need to continue writing the above, at the request of some interested people, I will write a little. Because my old uncle in my hometown was about to die, and it was impossible not to meet him one last time, relying on others, we all had the desire to return to our hometown on the 10th day of the first month of the Fire Tiger year (year uncertain). About ten officials and servants came to greet us, and they said many things that made it impossible not to return. So I reported to the elders, and they said that I should go to the Potala Palace for a quick tour. Afterwards, I offered all the empowerments and ransom rituals related to my pure visions to the officials. I also performed longevity empowerments and other things needed for some important stewards, and gave generous gifts and travel expenses when leaving. When I arrived at my own residence, along with the welcome, I set out for my hometown on the 29th of that month, and sent Pema Sung as a guide. Without delay, I arranged for Ula servants and so on, and proceeded along the relay stations. When I arrived at Go Tsa Monastery, the entire monastic community gave a grand welcome, respect, and hospitality. There, a person named Rigzin Tsewang made a Dharma connection. Horses, mules, and so on, all the monks made connections according to their respective status, and then set out, camping at Kachen Dar. There, some connections also took place. Later, when I arrived at Omda Chuzang, although many people invited me, I did not go, but went to Yola Cemetery. Afterwards, considering that it would be difficult and worrying to arrange for soldiers to escort Pema Sung back, it was decided that there was no need for an escort. We all set out from Chagga Wo, passed through Dunshing and Dingkok, and when we arrived at Dakok, the Ula servants took on the task of carrying, and gave a not insignificant amount of alms.
