If there is no way to go, we must go no matter what. So, Sonam Dorje Wang and Jigme Beli discussed the opinions of the superiors. Everyone knows that if the Lama goes to his hometown and does not return, the Chinese will definitely investigate. However, due to the stubbornness of the Tibetans, even to Aban (Tibetan, referring to senior officials), they do not know how to act according to the rules. In this way, it is difficult to say what will happen to these two people, so for the time being, the Lama is allowed to go. Later, if the Lama really cannot return, there must be someone who can return and not change his mind, etc., while talking, a record was made. Without demolishing the camp, Lama Pema Damcho was appointed as the agent, the preparations for departure were cancelled, and they went to visit the Tibetan and Mongolian believers without making a sound, fulfilling their respective wishes. When it was decided to leave, Choekyi Drakpa also came with some Mongolian deserters. They offered the accumulated resources to Yabje (Tibetan, Guru) and others, clearly explained the situation, and everyone felt very satisfied. Those deserters, because of the mistake of handing over the guests in Xining, did not dare to stay there and strongly demanded to follow us. We did not agree, and repeatedly persuaded them to stay there, but they did not listen, and finally decided to go together. After we set off, in a place called "one day's journey", we met most of the Tibetan and Mongolian Lamas and monks, especially Arig Ngawang Tsang Tulku, who is in the throat of Yangchen (Tibetan, Saraswati), according to his wishes, offered five days of Dharma and prepared to leave. Many officials, couples, and others came to see us off. The parting was like separating a musk deer from its calf. As it is said: "Accumulation will eventually be exhausted, stacking will eventually collapse, birth will eventually die, and meeting will eventually be separated." Keeping these in mind, reciting auspicious prayers, etc., arranging in a good direction, and preparing to leave. The Tibetan and Mongolian believers escorted us to the border, and when they returned, they did the same as before. Although all dharmas are like dreams and illusions, they still see us off in a dreamlike way. When we went with about thirty Mongolian escorts, the dream showed that the Mongolian tribes would feel very scared, so we let them stay there, and then sent the escorts back, preparing to flee to the northwest.

Also sent external messages such as letters again. They left in a hurry, and just as they were about to leave immediately, a large force of Rong robbers suddenly attacked, destroying the camps of Kunga Jasa and others. Some of the Jonang camps were also destroyed. Everyone, including the leaders, fled together towards the west of Qinghai (མཚོ་སྔོན།). It was heard the following year that nothing bad had happened. We set off with a few escorts, and sent the escorts back from Song's old mule Khra Yu. We proceeded on our own. Although there was no one familiar with the road, we traveled along Mani Thur (རྨ་ཉིན་ཐུར།) for several days, searching for water but not finding it. After traveling for a few more days, we encountered a place where the Yellow River (རྨ་ཆུ།) branched into many streams. We barely crossed it and spent the night there. We met a Golok (མགོ་ལོག) hunter and asked for directions. He said, "The place we have reached is the ferry of Shudru Namar (ཤུ་གྲུ་སྣ་དམར།) on the Yellow River." After inquiring in detail, we learned about Dar (དར།), Darla (དར་ལག), Khamdo (ཁ་མདོ།) and other places. After about two days, the goods went ahead first. After a while, we ourselves and others drove some horses to follow. Later, we and the livestock of the fleeing group were driven together by Khugen (ཁུ་རྒན།) and some cooks. A gang of Golok (མགོ་ལོག) robbers attacked and robbed all the livestock. We heard the shouts and ran back, driving the livestock back. Five or six people blocked the road. Only I and Jigme Jangchub I rushed forward without hesitation. Two or three shots were fired, but they didn't hit. Jigme Jangchub's (འཇིགས་མེད་བྱང་ཆུབ།) livestock were hit, and he immediately turned around and threw stones. Because the goods had gone ahead, everything was hit. Only a female yak and a cow were left in the ashes. When we looked at them, we found that they had been injured since the previous attack and were on the verge of death. We landed in a corner there, and the Golok (མགོ་ལོག) people also came there, gave some livestock, and then left separately. We set off the next morning, crossed one relay station after another, and arrived at the upper part of our hometown, Ragga (རག་ར།). We settled down there, and all the people from our hometown in Bardo Zhung (བ་རྡོ་གཞུང།) came.
