And, the initial rays of sunlight appeared to spread like fire, and when thunderstorms and hailstorms manifested, ཀ༔ the meditators also stood up from their meditation, reciting many wrathful mantras, preparing to leap. I, however, remained in a state of samadhi, not thinking of anything, and as a result, all the tumult naturally subsided. Then, I visualized the soul stones of the gods and demons under the cushion, and suppressed them. The next morning, we picked up the soul stones again, and after several days of traversing mountains and valleys, Getse Lama also arrived, saying, "If you haven't met the Horpa people, they don't know the way and can't find your tracks." There, in detailed conversation, the Horpa people described the markings of the horses and mules they had seen, the number of scripture boxes, and various other details. But we were certain that we had not met any Horpa people or other guests. This must be due to the kindness of the 7th Kyabje Rinpoche. Afterwards, we gradually crossed the Chu Mar River, and traveled upstream from the mouth of the Drichu River (Yangtze River), and at a place where we should have stayed overnight, we departed early because we had not kept track of the time. I and some others drove about a dozen horses, while others drove the scripture baggage, and crossed several mountain passes. There, about a hundred horsemen gathered, shouting and rushing up. I said to my companions, "You drive the horses and run along the hillside, and I will lead them away, so they will chase me." Thus, we shouted and ran, and they all chased after me, but because my horse was good, they couldn't catch up for a while. Then, I turned the horse around, and they arrived at the same time. They were holding a spear in their hands, waving it wildly, and no one dared to approach. Two lamas and some others arrived and talked to them, and when they recognized each other's identities, they said that it was because many cattle and sheep of the officer named Gonpo Dudul had escaped, and they were chasing them into the valley. We also said that we were from Dzogchen Monastery, and then dispersed and went to a place called Jari Jangnak, where we went to the place where Do Samkhag and others were staying. They requested a Dharma connection and gave some symbolic offerings and food, etc., as much as they could.
