Even if meeting Rinpoche is wasted, it is inevitable, but it is due to the power of past aspirations. Afterwards, on the way to Dzogchen again, he gave many teachings and instructions to go to the presence of Kunkhyen. When the pair of feet were placed on the five-lion throne, he entrusted the lives of some Dharma protectors, especially the prophecy of Drangsong Jangbu Mebar, the astrological power of karmic connection, and the entrustment in the Gonkhang, etc., very seriously. After requesting blessings and instructions, he gave me a horse, a small colorful umbrella, and an iron box. He reported in detail the internal, external, and secret situations, and after giving many oral instructions, he started on the road. After circumambulating the temple to the right, when he arrived in front, he met a Sarongba man carrying a sack full of grain, and he thought that this was an auspicious omen for him, that everything would go smoothly no matter what he did. He had the blacksmith Dakchen Tsering make a high-quality trident, gave it to the bamboo pole, and set off holding it as a cane. The merchant A-drub Tsang's family prepared a pack saddle and six and a half sets of tea utensils. Gephen Yungdrung Tsering did the same, and also many khatas, butter, etc. Chuton Tsering Phuntsang took his whole family, requested some scriptures and initiations, loaded two tea boxes on a yak saddle, brought a large amount of butter, and provided a lot of help along the way. After that, as he gradually advanced along the path, since Jigme Losal was there to see him off, when he returned at a certain place, he shed many tears of reluctance, which moved me very much. Together with some other friends, he crossed Zongchu and gradually went upwards, arriving at Umdo, where he visited the group of Batu Lama Tashi Tsang and stayed for a few days. In the Sangha, there were my fellow villagers Denzin and Pema, and after discussing the reasons in detail there, the two of them agreed to go, but said that they needed to wait a little while. At that time, Batu Kathub Phuntsang had been completely destroyed by external diseases, and although we considered him a place of offering, his appearance and Dharma instruments were very poor, and as a place of alms, there was no connection even in terms of food and drink.

While living among the many tribulus plants by the river, I dreamed of a young, handsome doctor riding a sorrel horse with a medicine bag tied to the front of the saddle. He came to me, dismounted, and respectfully said, "I am Zodor Tashi Wangchuk, who lives on the other side of this river. I have wanted you to come over for a long time, as there is something to discuss." With that, he smiled faintly and vanished without a trace. The next day, I didn't pay much attention to the dream. However, a friend went to Tangto and found a tea chest, which he brought back. Furthermore, the journey for guests and others seemed long. This completely fulfilled the prophecy, and the invisible spirits manifestly provided tea to the visible. As it is said, "What is seen with one's own eyes cannot be denied." It seemed to be true. After that, along with two friends, the five of us circumambulated the white stupa for a few days. We met about twenty Hor Zhakgo Janggang Lamas and their attendants, as well as Trewo's secretary, Lobsang Tsering, and the Dongkor Drenyom couple, totaling about a hundred officials and attendants. We discussed in detail the plan to travel together, and then we set off. In the Gergye Milog encampment, one of the Horpa Lama's mules was stolen. Lobsang Tsering and I went to Rada, became suspicious of the encampment of about twenty people, and went to question them. They immediately confessed and returned the mule, which made us useful. The Lama had known me before, and later I was able to help him. I felt very happy. From then on, he entrusted the arrangements for travel and lodging to me. However, most of them didn't care about stealing, robbing, and beating, and the monks were annoyed by the lack of opportunity to be friendly like gods, so they lived separately, but for a while, they traveled together under the influence of others. Later, when we arrived in Nagchu, we met Situ Rinpoche, as well as the merchant Takgyal from Sakya Dzong Dege, and Getse Tsewang Bum, who were going to U-Tsang to accumulate merit, especially for the Omniscient.

I happened to meet someone who had been sent to write a letter of introduction and report to the government in the same way. Stagyal (transliteration) told me the reasons, saying that he also had a similar letter from Dzogchen (transliteration), and since we had the same intentions, we decided to go together. His good connection from previous aspirations manifested as it was, and he helped us as much as he could. All of us went to Lhasa as if heading in one direction. The Horpa (transliteration) Lama and ourselves stayed in a house in Dranag (transliteration) that had chang (barley beer), and the monks of that family were very annoyed by the chang and various games such as jokes, but we stayed together for a while. There, we offered khatas to the two statues of Jowo (transliteration) and Shakya (transliteration), made a hundred butter lamp offerings, circumambulated, and so on, doing whatever we could. We asked everyone about the Seventh Kunkhyen Rinpoche (transliteration), but no one said anything. A Gelug monk from Lhoka (present-day Lhozhag County, Shannan City) said, "The lama you are asking about has already passed away." He told the story in detail, and I felt pain as if my heart had been torn out. But then I thought for a moment, wondering if there was any certainty in what he said. So I prayed earnestly, and the next day when I went for a circumambulation, I found a practitioner from Lhoka who seemed kind and was already going for a circumambulation, so I followed him. I asked him, "Practitioner, where are you from?" He explained in detail that he was from the Lhoka area and was a disciple of the Seventh Khyentse Rinpoche (transliteration), and so on. I doubted whether what he said was true, so I asked him all sorts of probing questions, and he answered them truthfully, so I dispelled my doubts and invited him to come to my residence with me. Like a festival, I offered tea, chang, and other food and drink. I said, "We are going to the Seventh Kunkhyen (transliteration) Holy One, but a monk said that he had passed away, and I was very unhappy, but you have relieved my suffering with such a pleasant voice, thank you very much. In any case, we must establish a relationship like a tea brick, do you have a place to put it?" When I was about to offer it, he said, "I don't have a place to put it now, but I will come sometime tonight or tomorrow. May the Three Jewels punish the one who wished for my lama to pass away. I am from the lama's presence..."
