Homage! Then, the master Vimalamitra himself was invited to sit on a throne supported by lions. The king himself ascended a nine-story pavilion, wearing a large brocade cloak. Many kinds of food, drink, and other offerings were prepared, and three Bre (a unit of measurement) of gold powder were poured into a silver vase and offered. However, Vimalamitra's face was dark, and he did not speak a word. The king thought: 'This Nepalese, with such strong desires, is he still not satisfied?' When this thought arose, Vimalamitra knew the king's mind and said, 'Great King, please hold sand in your hands.' When the king held the sand, there were about three Bre of sand. The master said, 'Please hold it for a moment.' But the king could not hold it, and the sand slipped away. The master said, 'I can turn sand into gold because all my appearances are gold. Although I do not need gold, I will accept it temporarily to fulfill the king's wishes.' Having said this, the master accepted the gold. Afterward, at Gala Ba in Utsang (dbu rtse), a Dharma seat was erected. The king requested the master to teach the Dharma. The great master thought in this way: 'In the past, Vairotsana taught the Dharma of the Resultant Vehicle, but he could not subdue the Tibetans and was instead expelled. I should start from the Causal Vehicle and explain it gradually.' So, when explaining the nature of the Causal Vehicle to the king and his subjects, the king sent people to Zhang Zhung (zhang po) to fetch tea. When the messengers passed by Gyalmo Tsawa Rong (rgyal mo mkhar), they visited Master Vairotsana. Master Vairotsana asked them in turn: 'Where do you come from?' The merchants replied, 'We come from Central Tibet.' and explained that they were messengers sent by the Tibetan king to fetch tea. Vairotsana then asked: 'Is the great king in good health? Is the king's law as strict as a golden yoke? Is the religious law as firm as a silk knot? How are the king's guardian deities being propitiated?' The merchants replied, 'The king is in good health, and both political and religious laws are very strict and firm. The propitiation of the guardian deities is also good. Now there is a great scholar named Vimalamitra who is translating the nature of the Causal Vehicle.' Vairotsana said, 'I translated the Dharma of the Resultant Vehicle but was expelled. Now I hear that they are listening to the Dharma of the Causal Vehicle, how strange!'

Go, Gyuytra Nyingpo! To those evil ministers of Tibet who are hostile to the Dharma, pour out your satisfying words of curse! As he said that, the disciple Gyuytra Nyingpo, wearing a rough garment of practice on his body, wearing a hat symbolizing power on his head, and holding a wooden staff in his hand, condensed the transmission of the Great Perfection, both the early and later translations, into six lines of verse, and blessed it as an ornament of sound. When he arrived at Samye (established in 767-779 AD) in central Tibet, it was at the time when Vimalamitra was teaching the cause-vehicle to the king and subjects of Tibet. He stripped off his clothes, used the wooden staff as a horse, whipped his buttocks, and ran while shouting: "Kaka Pari, Kaka Pari!" Since Vimalamitra came to Tibet, he had never shown a smile, but at that time, he showed a smile and said, "Buddhi Thim, Buddhi Thim!" At that time, when the master entered the palace, the king made a request in this way: "Master, since you came to Tibet, no one has ever seen you smile, what is the reason for your smile today?" He replied, "The reason I didn't smile before was because the ministers were hostile to the Dharma and I was not happy. The reason I smile today is because I am happy that there is such a yogi in Tibet." The king asked, "Then, what does that yogi mean by saying 'Kaka Pari'?" He replied, "That is saying that we do not like the Dharma, the children's Dharma of the Hinayana cannot achieve Buddhahood, the actions like a crow vajra cannot conquer the earth, and instead of teaching the fruit vajra vehicle, they teach the cause vehicle, what is this!" "When I say 'Buddhi Thim,' it means that all dharmas are like brown sugar and salt, the meaning of the Victorious Ones of non-dual nature." After hearing this, the king was very happy and satisfied. At that time, the king said, "Go and see where that yogi is, and ask who he is." As he said that, when they went to look for him, they found him buying wine from a wine-selling woman and drinking it. They asked, "Who is your master? What is your name?" He replied, "My master is called Vairochana, and I am called Gyuytra Nyingpo. I am practicing the supreme Great Perfection Dharma." After saying this, they reported these words to the sovereign king.
