On the golden throne, invite Master Padmasambhava, and on the silver throne, invite Bodhisattva. In the middle row, invite the great king, and in the left row, invite Cogro Lotsawa, and Kawa Paltsek, both on the throne of Gabtse. After being seated, offer to both the Khenpo and Acharya a golden mandala one cubit long, decorated with turquoise, and offer each the arrangement of Mount Sumeru and the four continents. Also offer each of the two translators a jeweled mandala. Then, request the Dharma teaching as follows: Emaho! Born in the sacred land of India, becoming a great yogi who is learned and accomplished, mastering the Sutras and Tantras. We beseech the two masters, who are the embodiment of compassion, to translate all the Sutras and Tantras without omission to Tibet. We beseech you to light the lamp of the sacred Dharma in this dark land of Tibet. We beseech you to send down the great rain of the sacred Dharma to extinguish the fire of eighty thousand afflictions. When such a request for Dharma teaching was made, the great Master Padmasambhava spoke these words: Listen, great King! The people of Tibet have little faith, and especially those evil ministers are hostile to the Dharma. Although all demons and spirits will create obstacles, I will create the auspicious connections to pacify and avert them. The King himself must also practice the Dharma and administer justice. As he said, the great King, from the year of the Sheep (Tibetan calendar) to the end of the year of the Monkey (Tibetan calendar), bound the Dharma as tightly as a silk knot. Master Padmasambhava and Cogro Luyi Gyaltsen, teacher and disciple, translated the eighteen inner Tantra sections of the Secret Mantra.
