Na, unwilling to perform religious rites in the name of "is," the king, along with Spa Minister Gesar Lang and others, consulted with those who believed in Buddhism and offered a bag of gold dust to the master Padmasambhava three times. Finally, the king reported to the master Padmasambhava, saying: My wish, whether it will be fulfilled or not, is uncertain. Do you have any method for this? Master Padmasambhava opened his mouth and said to the king: Although I have studied in the Characteristic Vehicle (referring to Hinayana Buddhism) and am proficient in the two Bodhicittas, even if I cannot subdue all of these fierce and cruel ghosts and gods of Tibet, there is still a way. In the cave of Yangleshö in Nepal, there is the son of the King of Oddiyana, the great accomplished one, named the incarnate Padmasambhava, who can subdue the demons and make the eight classes of gods and demons his servants. If he can be invited, the king's wish will be fulfilled, and non-humans and others will also be subdued, and the true Dharma will be promoted. In order to dispel the doubts of the Tibetans, the king pretended to have a dream and said to the internal and external subjects: I had such a dream last night, in Yangleshö on the border of Han and Nepal, in the cave there, there is a mantra-holding yogi, named Master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana, if he can be invited, my wish will surely be fulfilled, so prophesied in the dream, so you must go to invite him, prepare the messengers to set off! Although no one was willing to accept this task, the king ordered Langdro Nara and Gesar Lang to temporarily send Master Padmasambhava to Nepal, and gave them a handful of gold dust to give to the King of Nepal. After giving the remaining gold dust to the king, they took him to Nepal in the manner of expelling Master Padmasambhava. A person named Zhugu Eba Xia was also sent to the Han land as a representative of Master Padmasambhava. Shanglun ministers and subjects, with clever means, induced them to enter the Dharma, and made them happy with gifts. In the year after that, when Zhugu Eba returned, the king of the Han land offered many Buddhist scriptures, silks and other gifts to the Tsenpo (king). After that, in order to invite Master Padmasambhava, Nanam Dorje Dudul, Chimpa, and Shakya Prabha.

Shupu Hual Sang, Seng Gong Lhalung Zik and Chorowa, Hua Zik Gon and Nanam Namkhai Se, and Stona Dongzik, seven in all, offered a pot of gold powder as a gift and sent it. At that time, when the great master was residing in the Dha-hu-la temple in India, the messengers were exhausted, and the guardian deities saw it as it was and presented this report to the great master: "The Tibetan King Trisong Detsen wants to build a temple, but is hindered by demons. In order to subdue them, seven messengers are coming to invite the great master, but they are exhausted. Please, master, be sure to come." After learning of this, the master, with his magical powers, made a path in the sky and went to Mangyul Gungtang. Three months later, the messengers arrived and met the master. The great master pretended not to know and asked, "Who are you? Where are you going?" The messengers presented this report: "The Tibetan king has sent us as messengers to invite Guru Padmasambhava. Are you Guru Padmasambhava?" The great master replied, "As early as three months ago, the guardian deities told me that you seven messengers were exhausted. In order to help you, I have come here and have been waiting for you. You are late. What are the offerings for the invitation? Offer them now." The messengers bowed and offered the pot of gold powder they had brought, but the master said, "Offer more." The messengers offered their clothes, but the master still said the same as before. The messengers said, "The Tibetan king did not ask us to bring other offerings, and we ourselves have nothing else. We can only offer our body, speech, and mind as servants to you." They prostrated and placed their feet on their heads. The master said, "I just wanted to see if your faith was firm. Everything I see is gold." He stretched out his right hand towards the direction of Mangyul Gungtang and moved the mountains on the right to the left.
