Poison. The merchant captain spoke thus to the king: "I will stay here, great king, But you must go to the gate of that city over there. That city is surrounded by seven layers of ocean, Inside are various kinds of creatures, such as poisonous snakes. Even though there are many, if you cultivate the mind of enlightenment, You will not be harmed by going there. That city is square, with four gates, The four gates are guarded by dragon daughters. Pray to them, open the iron city gate, And after entering, by the palace gate, There is a vajra pestle. Use it to strike that gate, A hundred dragon daughters will offer various treasures, But do not speak in response. Continue to strike the gate with the vajra pestle, A dragon daughter named Beautiful Maiden, Blue in color, adorned with jewels, When she comes, tell her such a history, For the sake of offering and generosity, request the jewel. The dragon girl will offer the wish-fulfilling jewel, the symbol of power, Blue in color, possessing five rays of light. Quickly take it, And carry it away, along with the folds of the garment. By obtaining it, all wishes will be fulfilled." The merchant captain instructed the king in this way, He did as he was told, and the wish-fulfilling, The supreme jewel was obtained in that very instant, The thought of returning arose in that very moment. By the power of the jewel, without difficulty, He arrived before the merchant captain and expressed his gratitude. Thereafter, the king and his subject returned, And arrived at the place where the others were. The merchant captain, who was skilled in discerning jewels, Distinguished between good, bad, and middling, and then entrusted them to the others, Admonishing them not to be too greedy for wealth, For too much can cause the ship to sink. Be content and find a way to return to your own land. Having said this, the chief and his entourage all boarded the ship, And gradually proceeded in their own direction as before. On an island in that great ocean, There was a lotus tree with flowers of a thousand petals, In the center of the stamen, the master of the body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities of the ten directions and three times, The Great Guru of Oddiyana, Padmasambhava, Was about the age of an eight-year-old boy, His youth flourishing, blazing with the splendor of marks and signs. 当即与他相见后，国王生起了极大的虔诚与敬仰，献上了如下请问之词： “童子，你的父亲和母亲是谁？种族和家乡是怎样的？以何为食？在此做些什么？” 童子回答了这些问题： “我的父亲是自性觉智，母亲是法界普贤佛母，种族是界智无别双运，家乡是法界无生净土，以二取分别念为食，在此修持诛杀烦恼之行。” 童子如此说道，大国王生起了极大的惊奇，心想：“这定是化身”，便说：“做我的儿子、供养处和所依吧。”于是双手合十，献上哈达，将童子连同莲花茎一起抱起，带回自己的王宫，所有人都生起了欢喜。国王安顿在王宫内，手持如意宝珠之王，说道：“我所获得的这颗如意宝珠，如果真能如愿满足一切希求，那么就让这位童子所坐的珍宝座，具备装饰、伞盖等一切圆满，成为稀有殊胜之最吧！”话音刚落，一切都变得圆满。于是请小童子入座，并取名为海生金刚。王子亲自制定了十善法，因此又被称为莲花国王。国王如先前一样，双手捧着宝珠，发愿道：“我所获得的这颗如意宝珠，如果真能如意自在，那么就让所有空虚的仓库都装满吧！”话音未落，以前的仓库里，都装满了财物受用和一切所需。之后，国王敲响了大鼓，向四面八方传出美妙的声音：“因扎菩提国王获得了如意宝珠，必将如雨般降下所需之物，无论需要什么，都来获取财物受用吧！”于是给宝珠沐浴并精心擦拭，将其竖立在胜幢顶端，用美好的香

Immediately upon meeting him, the king developed great devotion and reverence, and offered the following words of inquiry: "Boy, who are your father and mother? What is your race and homeland like? What do you eat? What do you do here?" The boy answered these questions: "My father is self-awareness wisdom, my mother is the Dharmadhatu Samantabhadri, my race is the union of indivisible realm-awareness, my homeland is the unborn pure land of Dharmadhatu, I eat dualistic conceptualizations, and here I cultivate the practice of killing afflictions." As the boy spoke, the great king was filled with wonder, thinking, "This must be an emanation," and said, "Be my son, object of worship, and support." Then, with folded hands and offering a scarf, he took the boy, along with the lotus stem, and brought him back to his own palace, and everyone rejoiced. When the king settled in the palace, he held the supreme wish-fulfilling jewel in his hands and said, "If this wish-fulfilling jewel that I have obtained is truly capable of fulfilling all desires, then let the precious throne on which this boy sits be complete with decorations, parasols, and everything else, and be the most rare and excellent!" As soon as he spoke, everything became perfect. Then he invited the little boy to sit down and named him Ocean-Born Vajra. The prince himself established the ten virtuous laws, and therefore he was again known as Lotus King. The king, as before, held the jewel in both hands and made this prayer: "If this wish-fulfilling jewel that I have obtained is truly the supreme wish-fulfilling power, then let all the empty treasuries be completely filled!" As soon as he spoke, the former treasuries were filled with wealth, possessions, and everything needed. Then the king beat the great drum, sending a beautiful sound in all directions: "King Indrabodhi has obtained the wish-fulfilling jewel and will surely shower down whatever is needed like rain, so come and get whatever wealth and possessions you need!" Then he bathed the jewel and carefully cleaned it, erected it on the top of the victory banner, and with fine incense
