Thus, accompanied by fierce musical instruments, offering the extermination mantra called "Great Torma," praying that the Dharma protectors and their retinue devour every last bit of the enemy's flesh and blood. Then, to actually engage in the work of the torma: scattering libations in all directions, Hūṃ! In the directions of east, south, west, and north, where the Lord of Power, Yama, the Water God, and the assembly of Yakshas reside, do not throw this fierce torma! In the directions of northeast, etc., where Ishvara, the Fire God, Rakshasas, and the assembly of Wind Gods reside, do not throw this fierce torma! Above, below, and in between, where Brahma and the Earth Gods, Gandharvas and the wandering Bhutas reside, do not throw this fierce torma! Hūṃ! Reciting, with this fierce torma, even Mount Meru is reduced to powder, even the ocean is dried up, even the fire is extinguished. Therefore, all the Bhutas, those above, may their feet dry up! Those below, may their heads collapse! Those in between, may their waists twist! Tonight, this powerful torma is thrown at the hateful enemy, this torma is thrown at the afflicting obstacles, may the enemy and obstacles be reduced to dust. Hūṃ! Root lineage lamas and the deities of the mandala, the heroes and dakinis of the three places, please come here and throw this torma at the enemy! Dharma protectors and their retinue who uphold the teachings, all the glorious protectors of the gTsang Rims tradition, and the arrogant worldly gods and the eight classes of spirits, please come here and throw this torma at the enemy! Assembly of powerful worldly guardians, and the local deities with miraculous powers, all the assemblies of visible gods and spirits, please come here and throw this torma at the enemy!
