Those with dull faculties believe they can attain Buddhahood in thirty-three countless eons, those with medium faculties in seven countless eons, and those with sharp faculties believe they can attain liberation in three countless eons, etc. This is the system of the Nominalist Vehicle. The essence of generosity among the six perfections is to have no attachment to anything. If classified, Dharma generosity is fulfilling the wishes of those who strive for the ten practices. Material generosity is giving whatever is desired by the beggar, from large horses, cattle, and jewels down to small needles and threads, regardless of the size of the object. Fearless generosity or the generosity of protection is to protect from the eight or sixteen great and small fears immediately, and ultimately from the fears of the bardo and the three lower realms. Among the three, there are also three types of material generosity: giving, great giving, and extreme giving. Giving means giving food, clothing, vehicles, elephants, land, etc., whatever one has control over, to others. Great giving is like Prince Immaculate Virtue in the past, giving away children, wives, etc., with a mind free from attachment. Extreme giving is a difficult thing to do; in short, giving one's head to those who want a head, and giving limbs to those who want limbs. From here, one must first become accustomed to giving. For those bound by stinginess, from the hand, one is the giver, and then the other is the beggar, repeatedly transferring the thought of giving to any food or drink, so that the power of dryness, attachment, and destruction becomes strong, which is what needs to be learned. Fearless generosity is protecting the lives of those who are sure to die, rescuing them from any fearful place, and giving them fearlessness from a place of difficulty in breathing. Even if one gives up body and life, if there is no anger without regret, then giving in a reckless and impure manner, as if one were incapable, is also a cause for blame. Giving up body and life when compassion is extremely impure is prohibited in the Compendium of Trainings. Also, giving food and wealth acquired through the ten non-virtuous actions is also inappropriate.

The places for giving are very numerous, but because the results of giving are meaningless, it is better to abandon attachment and craving for one's own food, wealth, and other possessions. This is considered the ultimate extent of giving. There are three types of Dharma giving. The actual Dharma giving is: if it is difficult to teach those who have faith as they are, it is better to recite the rituals that eliminate one's own afflictions, and the scriptures that are full of loving-kindness and compassion, so that oneself and others are liberated by the white side, and to make aspirations. After one is liberated, because it is in accordance with the faculties and nature of sentient beings, one must focus on benefiting others. The essence of ethics is to restrain what is incompatible, and it is divided into three types: restraining misconduct, accumulating virtue, and benefiting sentient beings. Restraining all non-virtue of the three doors of body, speech, and mind is restraining misconduct; accumulating virtue while possessing the six perfections; and benefiting others through the first two is benefiting sentient beings. From the internal classification of each, the Pratimoksha is more excellent than the Bodhisattva vows in four aspects, namely: the Pratimoksha only abandons the root and basis of harming others, while the Bodhisattva vows not only do not harm others, but also add the benefit of helping others. The Pratimoksha includes seven types of abandonment, mainly focusing on body and speech; the Bodhisattva vows include all ten types of abandonment of body, speech, and mind, with mind being the main focus. In particular, in the precepts, in the case of the Pratimoksha vows, the precepts that are established for the sake of others cannot be violated. However, if a Bodhisattva, for the sake of others, even if the seven non-virtuous actions of body and speech can benefit others, or if he knows that they can benefit others, and does not obscure or increase his own virtuous roots with or without concepts, then if these three situations are carefully examined, there are cases of permission. For example, the merchant chief Great Courage killed the black man with a short spear, and the Brahmin boy named Star, who stayed in pure conduct for many kalpas, broke his vows because he was tormented by desire for the merchant chief's daughter, thereby gathering the merits of many kalpas. Such two kinds of faults are actually good, because they are actions done after careful consideration with great causal power. The three of mind are from beginning to end.
