Furthermore, for those who truly enjoy and are happy to revile the guru, hold wrong views, and other faults, and who abandon the stages of vows like throwing stones into water, due to the powerful force of non-virtue, all thoughts that are not under one's control, and those who have obtained the key points of the generation and completion stages, should be abandoned and discarded. Then, they still go searching for various kinds of documents. In the end, even if exhausted, they see nothing new that benefits themselves, and everything from before will disappear. That is to say, cherish having faith that applies to the correct meaning, and the desire to seemingly accomplish things in this life, and the middle path that is not indicated in either of these, that is, that is not beneficial to both worldly and spiritual affairs. Examine the nature of these three and cherish distinguishing them separately. Among the three kinds of diligence, here it refers to armor-like diligence, not allowing even a moment to be controlled by laziness, having great diligence in the Dharma, and having extremely firm wisdom. Not caring for body and life, tirelessly making offerings for the sake of serving the guru, regarding everything the guru says as the same as the Buddha's teachings, and considering oneself incapable or unable to accomplish things, without sparing oneself from hardship. Such a person is liberated by devotion alone. For those who have faith, wisdom, hearing, and great compassion, respect the three vows and the place of samaya, have subdued body, speech, and mind, have manifestations free from hypocrisy and deception, are broad-minded and generous, possess mindfulness and shame, strictly guard thoughts and actions that contradict the guru's three secrets of body, speech, and mind, such a person is intelligent. No matter how the guru scolds, they do not get angry, just as a fine horse does not retaliate no matter how it is whipped with iron. Even if messengers and others are sent many times, they are like ships, not tiring of going back and forth, without any worries in their minds. No matter the status, no matter who arranges a good or bad task that is disgusting, they should be like a bridge, bearing all good and bad things. No matter how gentle or harsh a task they are told to accomplish, they should be like hammering and squeezing with red-hot iron, fire, or water on silk, cotton, or a delicate platform, enduring all cold and heat even when tortured. Listen to the guru's commands like one's own slave, and
