Therefore, one's environment should be such that it abandons discordant groups and relies on those who have become harmonious. One should abandon sinful friends and childish friends, etc. By relying on noble individuals who possess the splendor of outer, inner, and secret qualities, one obtains virtues. Wishing well means unerringly adopting and abandoning the causes and effects of liberation and merit, and seeking refuge in the all-knowing. These four are called the four great wheels. The view of the noble Nagarjuna is excellent. Because afflictions have not diminished, in the midst of a gathering of those who appear to be the Sangha, mere vulgar people wearing monastic robes, it is like swallowing poison. One becomes very coarse due to the three changes of objects (form, sound, smell, taste, touch) and conditions (attachment, hatred, ignorance). Therefore, it is very important to flee from that, or distance oneself, and in a solitary place, to be content with pacifying discursive thoughts and abandoning busyness. If one is attached to gain and honor, then it is certain that no Dharma will easily enter the path. Not being attached to that is like the wind moving without obstruction, and birds flying in the same way, and like wild animals not entering villages. Abiding in solitude will not be disturbed by the reckless behavior of the three doors. Conversely, if one relies on tranquility, then one will inevitably become concerned with pleasing others, be more jealous than others, and the courage to endure harm from others will also diminish. The mind is like a very swift, sinful mouse, wherever it goes, it appears outwardly calm, and its behavior seems upright, but it is not trustworthy. Similarly, a sinful friend who is skilled in methods of unwholesome actions, through deception and disguise, pretends to be someone who can be completely trusted, and is of one mind and conduct with him. Even if material enjoyments are very complete, it will certainly immediately become a cause of falling away from the Dharma. The example of being without attachment is that the sun and moon, which move lightly, alternately illuminate the world, are friendly to all, and have no hatred or strife. If one always stays in one place, mixes with all, high and low, and is content with the status quo, then due to the faults of familiarity, weariness, and burden, they will be afflicted by mutual anger." } ] ============================================================

However, regarding the new and ever-new places, and the people there being gentle and kind, friendly and amicable with everyone else, although what is seen and heard is such. But for those who, like sentient beings, merely repeat the words of others, making noisy sounds, although verbally liking the good and disliking the bad, their minds do not follow accordingly, like rocks, those with such stubborn behavior have long since vanished into the realm of duality. Such people have long since abandoned attachment to whether a place is good or bad, and whether it is solitary or not. Those who take the Pratimoksha vows as their commitment, and those who single-mindedly focus on meditation, striving for Samadhi, whether they are diligent practitioners or those whose experience has not yet stabilized, regardless of their status, high or low, anyone who allows their own virtuous conduct to be influenced by the arising of attachment and aversion, and whether friends are in accordance with the Dharma, is mistaken. In general, the Buddha has permitted methods for others to accumulate merit, and oneself also practices diligently, vowing not to regress, viewing disciples as wish-fulfilling jewels that fulfill desires, and conduct that is in accordance with the Tripitaka is true merit. Extremely impure livelihoods refer to praising one's own side by various means, denigrating the other side, or obtaining what has not been given through deception, which is no different from stealing. Seeking gain with gain refers to first offering a small amount of wealth, such as divination, and then obtaining profit by collecting offerings and so on. Sweet talk refers to falsely claiming that a large amount of wealth is needed for virtuous deeds such as offerings to the Three Jewels, in order to obtain profit. Hypocritical pretense refers to oneself pretending to be a monk who upholds the Pratimoksha vows, or pretending to be a Yoga Master to deceive others, even though one does not have the experience of the generation stage, completion stage, and does not have the realization of view, meditation, and conduct. Measuring by gain refers to establishing relationships with wealthy patrons, and then deceiving them by claiming that Dharma assemblies, Dharma practices, etc., require large offerings. These five wrong livelihoods will defile the conduct of past Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Therefore, a good residence refers to solitary mountains and other places that do not hinder practice and have various favorable conditions. A good livelihood refers to the essence of medicine, trees, flowers, etc.
