will be separated. The movement of that breath, like the tip of a horse's tail, is severed by the sharp axe of the Lord of Death. Unlike when alive, it is like flaunting teeth that have abandoned beauty. Regardless of the good or bad in one's karma, one must enter the dense darkness of existence. The concise connection of the second chapter of the Treasury of Precious Qualities ends here. Chapter Three. Thus, those who have reached the next world, by the power of karma, good and bad, with what rope are the positions of the six types of beings bound? It is only the strength of habituation to practicing good and doing evil in this life that determines what is taken and what is abandoned. The Buddhas have said that the truth of conventional dependent arising is infallible. Just as farmers clearly see the various kinds of seeds at the beginning. Yes, from the beginning until now, the various high and low states of beings have been created by the many ways of accumulating karma through familiarity and habituation to good and evil. The high-soaring eagle, which ascends into the sky, is the majority of bird species. Even if their shadows are temporarily invisible, just as the tangible bird and its shadow are inseparable, when they gather and the time comes, when they land on the ground, the shadow becomes more apparent. Non-virtuous deeds, the fire of the horse-headed one, can dry up the waves of the ocean of merit, the roots of virtue corresponding to merit, which are the cause of being born as gods and humans. Moreover, the precious human body, the basis for accomplishing the state of omniscient Buddhahood, is like a ship. The metaphor and meaning of destroying it are as explained in the sutras, in the Hundred and the extensive Rolapa. Beings cast away by the cause of non-virtue, the terrors of the lower realms, who are extremely brave and resilient in enduring suffering. The army of the ten virtues, the place where warriors clad in strong armor reside, is struck by the arrows of war, meaning that the military camp of the lower realms has not been established. All those who have broken their vows, that is, those who have committed actions contrary to the three vows, have fallen under your control and are condemned. Therefore, regarding the types of protective vows, there is a general confusion of what to take and what to abandon, and some...

And those who do things that harm others, some give up their lives, and their own vows, some do many non-virtuous things such as doing asceticism and disturbing the land, some postpone practicing Dharma, some lose wealth, some do not care about their own shame, and some do not care about the shame of others, and give up their vows without any hesitation. Most of the protective vows are given up for the sake of sin, which is very common. Because in order to protect one's own lama, offerings, etc., the field of merit, and relatives, attendants, etc., and the lands of great lamas and officials, etc., they do not hesitate to drink the poison of great sins, just like releasing a mad elephant with a blade wrapped around its trunk. Except for the doer of that action, there is no one to share the ripening fruit. In terms of both worldly and Dharma matters, they are greedy for wealth, etc., they are attached and obsessed, and they only crave for their own happiness. Similarly, whether it is oneself or others, if they hear words of praise, they gladly accept them, and if they hear words of praise, their pride increases and they become arrogant and complacent. On the contrary, the opposite of the previous four, which are not obtaining, unhappiness, unpleasantness, and being slandered, etc., these children who pretend to be Dharma with slander are deceived by the eight worldly dharmas. This is what is called the eight worldly dharmas. Because of the perfection of lineage, appearance, power, youth, and learning, etc., they are proud, and due to the influence of arrogance, they exalt themselves, and do not strive to cultivate virtue and abandon evil, etc., and spend their time in laziness, like a cripple, just like a lame person, neither oneself nor others can make him work, and he is covered by faults. And manifest pride is the bad thought that arises from the arrogance that others have seen and heard, these are asceticism, they are demons who hate the merits of the three vows, if greed and hatred are demons, then these are their causes. The so-called "dry" is to covet the wealth of others, and due to greed and attachment, one is very stingy with one's own possessions, this powerful force will hinder offerings and generosity, etc.
