Now, in order to turn away from sin and enter into virtue, the four intentions are shown, namely: the intention of equality is also shown together. That is to say, all dharmas are empty in essence, their nature is luminous, and phenomena appear as samsara and nirvana, yet all of these do not go beyond the equality of essence, even if phenomena appear to be contradictory, in reality they are shown to be of the same taste. Another intention is that the dharmas from form to omniscience appear to exist in the deluded view, but in reality, if analyzed, they are shown to be unestablished. Another intention is that from beginningless time until now, by means of the previously accumulated roots of virtue with and without defilements, one can attain enlightenment in a short time without effort. Another intention is that for those of the shravaka and pratyekabuddha lineages, they consider their own path to be the best and denigrate other paths. Furthermore, if the path that one has entered is considered to be the best, then it will become an obstacle on the path to liberation and omniscience, and in order to prevent this, denigration is carried out. The hidden intention is that for the minds of those to be tamed who cannot understand, a state of duality arises, and in order to dispel doubts, for those who have entered the shravaka and pratyekabuddha vehicles and cling to cause and effect as real, the intention of the intermediate turning of the wheel directly points out that the dharmas from form to omniscience do not exist in reality. However, in order to please those to be tamed who are of inferior intelligence, words with names and parts are used, namely: dharmas of definitive and provisional meaning with characteristics. Therefore, in order to guide them into the correct path in a roundabout way, the words spoken are in accordance with the Hinayana, but the meaning is not in accordance, and the speaker thinks that this is shown in the manner of dreams and illusions. If we differentiate, there are four hidden intentions: the hidden intention of entering, and similarly, the hidden intentions of nature, antidote, and transformation. The hidden intention of entering is: if some shravakas are frightened by hearing that all dharmas are empty, and therefore abandon the Mahayana, then by saying that the dharmas from form to omniscience exist, they understand them to be established or true, and then they enter, but ostensibly the intention is like a dream. The hidden intention of nature is for the sake of understanding the meaning of the absence of self-nature in conventional dharmas, gradually, the imputed is without self-nature, and

Other-powered absence of inherent existence, and thoroughly established absence of inherent existence; among these three, the first is absence of characteristics, the second is absence of arising as inherent existence, and the third is ultimate absence of inherent existence. All phenomena cannot be measured in meaning with just a few words; they are shown in profound expressions. The antidote, the hidden meaning, is to reverse the wrong conceptions of others, not to distinguish superiority or inferiority by the length of life, lineage, or body size. The form bodies of all Buddhas are equal to the Dharmakaya of the two bodies, just as they are equal in the place of accumulating merit. The essence (ངོ་བོ,ngo bo) emptiness is the Dharmakaya, the self-nature clarity is the Sambhogakaya, and compassion (ཐུགས,thugs) all-pervading is the Nirmanakaya. The transformation, the hidden meaning, is killing parents who should not be killed, and similarly, destroying the king and the pure ones who should not be destroyed, etc. This is said to be like this: the father is existence and the mother is grasping; from these two, the wind enters the central channel and is purified, which is called killing. The alaya consciousness is the king, and similarly, the Brahmin sees fear as supreme, and the Shramana sees discipline and asceticism as supreme; these two are the pure ones, and the eight consciousnesses, which are the internal sense bases gathered by the grasper and the grasped, are patrolling with their domains. For these and so on, purifying them without abiding in one's own continuum is merely labeled as destruction, but if taken as real, it is a great mistake. In short, the difference between having an intention and being hidden is that having an intention is merely thinking in the mind about how to liberate sentient beings from sin and how to engage in virtue, and it does not depend on things like the manifest method of grasping the other party. The hidden meaning is the thought and action that depends on grasping the object of the sentient being to be tamed, whatever that object may be. Discrimination is like the eye that observes all the scriptures, and from the perspective of what is to be measured, if all the eighty-four thousand gates of the Dharma spoken by the Buddhas are condensed into one meaning, then there are the two truths of the conventional and the ultimate, and there is no third truth other than these two truths. The conventional truth has two ways of appearing, namely the deluded.
