Those of the Hearer lineage, the dull-witted, believe that they can attain Buddhahood in thirty-three countless eons, the middling in seven countless eons, and the sharp-witted in three countless eons, which is the tradition of the characteristic vehicle. The nature of generosity among the six perfections is to have no attachment to anything. Divided, there is the Dharma generosity of fulfilling the wishes of those who seek to practice the ten Dharmas, and material generosity, which is giving whatever is desired in the mind of the beggar, whether it is large, such as horses, cattle, and jewels, or small, such as needles and threads. The generosity of fearlessness or the generosity of refuge is to protect from all great and small fears, such as the eight great and sixteen, and ultimately to protect from the fears of the bardo and the three lower realms. Among the three, there are also three types of material generosity: giving, great giving, and extreme giving. Giving is giving food, clothing, vehicles, cattle, land, etc., according to one's ability. Great giving is like the former Prince Stainless Virtue, giving children, daughters, and wives without attachment. Extreme giving is a difficult thing to do, in short, giving the head to those who want the head, and the limbs to those who want the limbs. From here, one must first get used to giving, and for those who are bound by stinginess, from the hand, one is the giver, and then the other is the beggar, repeatedly transferring the thought of giving, and one must learn to overcome attachment to any food, etc. The generosity of fearlessness is to protect the lives of those who are destined to die, to rescue from any place of fear, and to give fearlessness from the place of difficulty in breathing. Even if one gives up body and life, if there is no regretful hatred, one cannot do it, and giving combined with recklessness, hypocrisy, and impurity is also to be condemned. Giving up body and life until the thought of compassion is very impure is forbidden in the Compendium of Trainings. Giving food and wealth created by the ten non-virtuous deeds is called a transgression.

Moreover, it is thought that there are many places unworthy of generosity, because giving is meaningless. Therefore, it is better to abandon attachment and craving for one's own food, wealth, and other possessions, which is considered the ultimate state of generosity. There are three types of giving, and the real Dharma giving is that if it is difficult to teach those who have faith as they are, then it is better to recite the rituals that eliminate one's own afflictions, and the scriptures full of love and compassion, so that oneself and others are liberated with the good side, and to make aspirations. After one is liberated, because it is in accordance with the faculties and nature of beings, it is necessary to focus on benefiting others. The essence of discipline is to restrain inappropriate behavior, which is divided into three types: abandoning evil deeds, accumulating good dharmas, and benefiting sentient beings. Restraining all evil deeds of body, speech, and mind is abandoning evil deeds; accumulating good dharmas in the state of having the six perfections; and benefiting others through the former two is benefiting sentient beings. In each category, from individual liberation to bodhisattva, it is superior through four differences, like this: individual liberation is only to prevent causing harm to others and its source, while the bodhisattva not only does not harm others, but also adds benefits on top of that. Individual liberation mainly includes the seven abandonments, that is, body and speech, while the bodhisattva mainly includes the ten abandonments of body, speech, and mind. Especially in terms of discipline, in the case of individual liberation, the precepts set for the sake of others will not be broken, but for the bodhisattva, even the seven non-virtuous actions of body and speech, if they can benefit others, or know that they will benefit others, and carefully examine one's own targeted and untargeted virtuous actions, in the case of not obscuring and increasing, there are also cases of permission. For example, the merchant chief Great Fearlessness killed the black man with a short spear, and the Brahmin boy named Star, who had lived in celibacy for many eons, but he fell because he coveted the merchant's daughter, thereby destroying the accumulation of many eons. These two examples show that the apparent sins are actually good deeds, because they are done with careful consideration and have powerful causal power. As for the three of mind,
