Moreover, the aspiration Bodhicitta is the vow to achieve the result. Vowing to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings is taking a vow for the result. Its training is the equality of self and others, both wanting happiness and not wanting suffering, being equal, one should become accustomed to this. The exchange is: giving all my virtues to sentient beings, and taking upon oneself the suffering of sentient beings. Cherishing others more than oneself is: even if I must abide in a place of suffering such as the three lower realms, may the suffering of all sentient beings ripen upon me. These three are also considered a concise training, but their essence is perfectly abiding in the four immeasurables such as loving-kindness. Taking a vow based on the cause is the entering Bodhicitta, its training is the six perfections, and relying on those whose conduct is completely pure. From the perspective of classification, there are two types of Bodhicitta: that of ordinary beings and that of noble ones, as well as the training of the three disciplines, the training of concentration, and the training of wisdom. Relative to these three trainings, there are three Bodhicittas. In particular, on the paths of accumulation and junction, there is the Bodhicitta that acts with aspiration; from the first bhumi to the seventh, there is the Bodhicitta of pure higher intention; in the three pure bhumis, there is the Bodhicitta of complete maturation; and in the Buddha bhumi, there is the Bodhicitta of abandoning obscurations, making four in total. Similarly, there are five Bodhicittas that follow the five paths of accumulation, junction, seeing, meditation, and no-more-learning. Relative to the six perfections, there are six types of Bodhicitta equal in number to them. Differentiated by the boundaries of the bhumis, there are twenty-two in total. The noble Maitreya said: Namely, earth, gold, moon, fire, treasure and the source of jewels, ocean, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun, song, king, treasury and great road, vehicle, decorated water, musical instrument, river, and clouds, making twenty-two types. These and so on, are pervaded and included by the aspiration of thought and action. Whoever seeks their own well-being, constantly, within the gate that is never closed, not just occasionally, does not cause disturbance to the mind of the beggar.

If one is always content with impermanent things, that is an endless offering, worthy of praise and commendation. Even just a moment of bodhicitta that benefits all sentient beings can close the doors to the three lower realms, enjoy happiness and bliss in the realms of gods and humans, and obtain inexhaustible qualities that do not change. In particular, the qualities of entering are inconceivable and infinite, and in reality, the rite of pervading by combining the two precious bodhicittas. From when? From the time of taking the precepts of generating the mind of supreme enlightenment, with an unwavering mind, firmly vowing to liberate beings from the ocean of suffering in samsara. From then on, even in times of unconsciousness and unsuitability for the mind, and even in sleep, the merit of bodhicitta will continuously be connected. As it is said from the grounds of bodhisattva conduct. Its benefit is that even accumulations of many eons will be eliminated. Oxen, elephants, chariots, sun and moon, etc., refer to the Hearers' Vehicle, Solitary Realizers' Vehicle, and Great Vehicle practitioners. Due to the differences in the strength of their intelligence, the paths they take are fast or slow, and boundless. Great Vehicle practitioners, while not obstructing the final stage of the method, diligently clear away the defilements of the four edges and eight corners of wisdom. Through the result of practice, they will not attain Buddhahood until the three great incalculable eons are not completed. This is the destruction of the vow. That is to say, bodhisattvas who travel like ox carts and bodhisattvas who travel like elephant carts will turn away from bodhi. Bodhisattvas who travel like the sun and moon, and bodhisattvas who travel like the emanations of Hearers and the emanations of the Tathagatas, will not turn away from bodhi. Just as the sequence of seeds is sown on the ground and falls, merely generating the supreme mind verbally is not important, but from the depths of the heart, like past aspirations and the arrival of the time, the naturally arising supreme mind is important. Moreover, bodhicitta arises from the three powers.
