It is also permissible to draw a figure with a body (འཇམ་དཔལ་, Mañjuśrī). Alternatively, one may draw only an image of Mañjuśrī. According to the canvas drawing ritual, if one has faith, even if the painter does not possess complete painting skills, it is permissible to draw, and it is said that one may draw in whatever form one desires. Alternatively, one may create an image of Mañjuśrī Kumāra made of gold or silver, with the right hand bestowing the Varada Mudra (supreme giving), and the left hand holding a book of the Prajñāpāramitā (Perfection of Wisdom), placing it in front for offering. Or, one may create it from white sandalwood, with the right hand holding the fruit of Madhulunga, and the left hand holding the book of the Prajñāpāramitā. Or, one may create it from red sandalwood, with the right hand holding a weapon to control yakshas, and the left hand holding a weapon to prevent robbery. Or, one may create an image of Mañjuśrī similar to the above from precious stones, with a golden peacock as the seat, which is said to be for the purpose of overcoming enemies. If there is a vajra on a lotus, because it is the Varada Vajra, it is good to create this image and write the mantra for victory in battle inside it. Or, one may create a Mañjuśrī image about the size of a thumb from white Arka wood, and perform the practice in front of it. It is said that it can also be made from various types of wood. The canvas drawing of the six-syllable mantra of Vāgīśvara is like the white Mañjuśrī canvas drawing of Khyentse Wangpo. At that time, there is great praise for ultimate accomplishment. Therefore, one may create Mañjuśrī images of various sizes, down to the size of a thumb, place them in front, and consecrate them. In front of it, one should abide by (སངས་རྒྱས་ཚེ་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ་རྣམ་པར་ངེས་པའི་དབང་པོའི་རྒྱལ་པོ, Buddha Amitāyus Jñāna Ananta Nirṇaya Indra Rāja), (སཱ་ལའི་རྒྱལ་པོ, Śāla Rāja), Amitāyus, (འོད་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ, Amitābha), Ratnaśikhin, Kanakamuni, (འོད་སྲུངས, Kāśyapa), (སྤྱན་མཛེས, Supratīta), and also pay homage to Śākya Rāja. Having paid homage to all the Buddhas, one should look at the canvas with a focused mind and repeat the one-syllable mantra. By doing so, one will see signs. This syllable was given by Amitāyus to Samantabhadra, who then gave it to Mañjuśrī, who placed it in his heart. This can be accomplished even without cleanliness, etc., and will definitely be accomplished in the end. This is the Cakravartin of the Uṣṇīṣa of all the Tathāgatas, the King of Uṣṇīṣas. It is said that (བྷྲཱུྃ, BHRUM, Bhrum, Seed Syllable) can do what is indicated by other methods. If it works even without practice, what need is there to mention practice? Through it, one obtains the desired perfect result. One should not eat bad food, meat, alcohol, sesame, mustard, or amla. One should not eat from wooden bowls. One should sit on a cushion of kuśa grass. One should recite while thinking of the Buddha. Avoid eating too much or too little, avoid wandering, watching shows, and sleeping. It is said that (བྷྲཱུྃ, BHRUM, Bhrum, Seed Syllable) can do what is indicated by other methods. If it works even without practice, what need is there to mention practice? Through it, one obtains the desired perfect result. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recite the 'Bum' (one hundred thousand recitations) over various flowers and place them at the feet of the image. There, if you lie on a Kusha grass mattress, it will show you whatever dream you desire. If you light a thousand butter lamps made from the essence of lotus threads and offer them before the image, you will see Manjushri. Furthermore, offer various extensive offerings and recite mantras. Through these, those who have attained accomplishment will become manifest. Having done this, recite with the aim of whatever you desire, such as victory in war. There are many activities, such as the activities of Manjushri. Therefore, there are very many in the tantras, accomplish whatever you desire. If you recite it constantly, all beings will be happy. When fear arises, if you remember it in your mind, the fear will disappear. Furthermore, if someone is angry, cultivate loving-kindness and remember the mantra, looking at their face will pacify their anger. If you drink water blessed seven times in the morning, you will definitely exhaust the karma that you are destined to experience. Tie a thread in knots and recite the mantra, and if you tie it on someone's head, you will free them from illness. Merely reciting the mantra for someone afflicted by illness will free them. If you recite the mantra over clothes and wear them, you will become fortunate.
