With utmost devotion, recite as much as possible without any faults. By reciting one hundred, one thousand, ten thousand, one hundred thousand times, gradually obtain the Unforgettable Dhāraṇī (Dhāraṇī: a mnemonic device, a collection of verbal formulas). Become proficient in all sounds and languages. Memorize five thousand verses each day. Wisdom blazes swiftly like a fire, understanding the meaning of all Buddhist scriptures and treatises, becoming the master of speech. Even without deliberate effort, the essence of life and body is accomplished. Control beings, and increase power and ability. Manifest clairvoyance and obtain dominion over the earth. In short, supreme and common accomplishments, various Siddhis (Siddhi: accomplishment, attainment) are effortlessly obtained. It is said that the best can be accomplished in one day, the intermediate in two, and the worst in three. This profound practice, which is so swift and has such great blessings, was received by the venerable master from Manjushri and compassionately taught to others. The maturing empowerment and the activities of pill practice, etc., should be performed as described in the sacred Indian treatises. At the end of the session, make offerings, praises, and supplications. Visualize one's own mind dissolving into light, and the container and contents of the world dissolving into oneself. Gradually dissolve (Tibetan: དྷཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: धीः, Sanskrit Romanization: dhīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: धीः) and bindu into a red (Tibetan: ཐིག་ལེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: बिन्दु, Sanskrit Romanization: bindu, Chinese literal meaning: bindu). Visualize that dissolving into light, and all appearances turning into red light. Contemplate gaining power over past and future accomplishments. Dedicate the merit and make aspirations and auspicious prayers. This compilation of practice verses was written by Mipham Rinpoche in the 'Auspicious Isle of Deathless Accomplishment' on the thirteenth day of the sixth month of the Fire Monkey year. May it be auspicious! Later, on the thirteenth day of the first month of the Earth Monkey year, it was proofread at the Dechen Phodrang (Auspicious Palace) of Tsongkhapa. May there be auspiciousness! Manjushri Pill Ritual The Practice of the Lion of Speech Pill As stated in the sacred Indian treatises: Practice when the auspicious stars are in alignment. Practicing on the first, eighth, and fifteenth will swiftly lead to accomplishment. Avoid using pure white, red, or variegated herbs, etc. Use musk, castoreum, cinnabar, and red Sophora viciifolia. Make one hundred and eight pills using the milk of a red cow, the milk of Manjushri, the milk of a white sheep, and the milk of Sarasvati. Write (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: ह्रीः) and (Tibetan: དྷཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: धीः, Sanskrit Romanization: dhīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: धीः) above and below the pills with a mixture of saffron and Chinese sumac.
