As stated above, 'After placing the upper pills, erect a red and yellow silk tent, and meditate on emptiness facing east.' As for the proportions of the ingredients, three portions of aconite, one portion each of sandalwood and agarwood, and half portions of the others are appropriate. There are many different views regarding the wheels above and below the pills. According to our own tradition, on red silk or cloth, draw four 'വം' (Tibetan, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, seed syllable) with vermilion, madder, and saffron, making an eight-spoked wheel with three surrounding circles. In the center, draw a double-edged sword, with 'དྷཱིཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari: धीः, Romanized Sanskrit: dhīḥ, wisdom) on the hilt and 'ཧྲཱིཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, great compassion) on the tip, and the root mantra in between. Adding one's own name and aspiration is also good. At the tip of each spoke, write one 'ཧྲཱིཿ', and at the base, write one 'དྷཱིཿ'. Divide the space between the eight spokes 'ཧྲཱིཿ' and 'དྷཱིཿ' into eight parts, writing the parts of the root mantra: 1. 'ཨོཾ་ཧྲཱིཿདྷཱིཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओम् ह्रीः धीः, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ hrīḥ dhīḥ, Om, Great Compassion, Wisdom), 2. 'མ་མེ་དཱི་པཾ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari: ममे दीपम्, Romanized Sanskrit: mame dīpaṃ, My Lamp), 3. 'མཉྫུ་ཤྲཱི་' (Tibetan, Devanagari: मञ्जुश्री, Romanized Sanskrit: mañjuśrī, Manjushri), 4. 'མུཾ་ཧྲཱིཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari: मुं ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: muṃ hrīḥ, Seed Syllable, Great Compassion), 5. 'པྲཛྙཱ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari: प्रज्ञा, Romanized Sanskrit: prajñā, Prajna), 6. 'ཝརྡྷ་ནི་' (Tibetan, Devanagari: वर्धनि, Romanized Sanskrit: vardhani, Increase), 7. 'ཧྲཱིཿདྷཱིཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः धीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ dhīḥ, Great Compassion, Wisdom), 8. 'སྭཱ་ཧཱ།' (Tibetan, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, Accomplishment). In the first outer circle, write the sixteen vowels, in the second, the thirty-four consonants, and in the third, the essence of dependent origination. Whether or not you write your own name, writing the aspiration will accomplish it. The arrangement of mantras on the eight petals of the female wheel is the same as the male wheel. However, all the mantras on the spokes and circles of the male wheel have their heads facing outward and are written clockwise; all the mantras of the female wheel have their heads facing inward and are written counterclockwise. The 'དྷཱིཿ' and 'ཧྲཱིཿ' on the petals also have their heads facing inward. The difference is only in the direction of rotation. In short, using only the male wheel is also sufficient. As for the base wheel, draw the seed syllables of the Four Great Kings or four deities such as White Tara on the four spokes, and then meditate and recite. Here, a yellow eight-petaled lotus made of colored powder or painted on cloth is sufficient. Place the base wheel on top, and in a bowl or jewel container, place the female wheel facing upwards, then place the pills in order without inverting them, and cover them with the male wheel facing downwards. Make sure the heads are facing the same direction. Make a four-finger-long sword of red sandalwood or red cedar, or a scabbard is also fine. Write 'དྷཱིཿ' and 'ཧྲཱིཿ' on the hilt and tip, and in the middle, it is best to write the root mantra, one's own name, and aspiration. Align the written mantra with the pills and insert it. Erect a red or yellow silk tent on top of the upper wheel. If conditions permit, a three-part offering can be made. Perform a detailed or brief purification and bathing of the pills. At the end of the pills, surround them with seven offerings and tormas. Then, perform the preliminary practices such as refuge and bodhicitta. The main part is performed according to the oral instructions of the guru, that is, the key instructions for supreme accomplishment in the sadhana. There, on the ground in front, place the pills on a lotus and moon cushion. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
