By sealing with the mudra of the respective deity, making it stable and blessing it, that is the mudra deity. Then, clearly visualizing each part of the body and limbs of such a deity, focusing on its characteristics, and constantly contemplating 'it is like this and that,' is called the conceptual deity or the conventional body or the characteristic deity. Like this, by restraining the yoga meditation of the deity with characteristics through the practice of controlling the life force, ultimately, without effort, it becomes clear and free from concepts, and one abides in samadhi. Thus, performing recitation in conjunction with the yoga of the deity's form, the very essence of recitation possesses four limbs, which will be explained in the text. Now, the meaning of the text will be explained: One who wishes to perform mantra recitation should first actually visualize the form of the deity to be accomplished, or visualize the place or support of that deity, such as a painted image, etc. Before beginning the recitation, offering flowers and other offerings, which implies maintaining cleanliness, establishing boundaries to protect oneself, the place, and belongings, inviting the assembly field, confessing sins, offering the body, etc., should be understood as the necessary preparations for the ritual. Then, for the yoga of recitation, sitting comfortably in a posture such as the lotus position. Or, taking or holding a posture of yoga that focuses on the object of meditation. The practitioner, possessing the wisdom to understand the methods of practice, should contemplate the Thus-Gone One (Tathagata) in front of oneself. All actions, such as recitation, should be performed in the presence of the Bhagavan (Bhagavan). Afterwards, in order to liberate oneself from all the phenomena of the senses such as the eye, one should not regard them as external objects, nor cling to the object grasped by the grasping mind, abandoning the distinction between grasper and grasped, not clinging to worldly knowledge, not clinging to the subtle and difficult-to-understand nature of mere consciousness, free from elaboration, self-luminous, realizing the nature of ultimate Bodhicitta (Bodhicitta) with the wisdom of individual self-awareness, and abiding in that state, even without being moved by agitation, remaining clear, possessing six characteristics.
