If clinging is not destroyed, that wisdom will not be attained either. This is precisely the reason, because it is desired that consciousness arises from the aggregation of individually determined causes and conditions. The seventh consciousness is transformed into an afflicted one by the other power of the four afflictions, but it is not its own nature. Therefore, when those afflictions that are retinues eliminate the afflictive obscurations, they should cease, but the self-nature of consciousness cannot cease completely, because the meaning of transformation refers to the fact that through the power of the path, sudden faults are eliminated, thereby allowing one's own nature to become clear. As it is said in the *Meaning Secret*: "Some say that it is with outflows, because it has two abilities." Also, for this latter view, there is this detailed analysis: Before the transcendental path arises, the clinging to person and phenomena arises simultaneously, but when the transcendental path arises, then it is a noble Śrāvaka. At the time of equipoise, the mind does not impute to a person, and clearly engages with the meaning of the selflessness of the person, but with regard to phenomena, it is not separated from imputation and does not engage clearly. This also corresponds to ignorance, view, pride, and the four non-afflicted desires, but since they are also non-afflicted, they do not obstruct the attainment of the fruit of the Śrāvaka, nor are they virtuous. If it is a noble Bodhisattva, then at the time of equipoise, both selflessnesses are seen manifestly, therefore, the clinging to a person and the clinging to phenomena, which obstruct the seeing of the two selflessnesses, will not manifest, therefore it is without outflows. As it is also said in the *Meaning Secret*: "Because of the ignorance that becomes an obstacle to seeing both selflessnesses simultaneously, just as with the conceptualization of the state of a rope as a snake, preceded by the conceptualization, the view corresponding to the afflicted mind arises, simultaneously imputing to phenomena and person." When the supramundane path arises, then because the noble Śrāvaka sees the selflessness of the person, therefore there is no imputation to a person, and the mind is unclear about phenomena, and the state of corresponding to the nature of imputation, delusion and view arises. That non-afflicted one also belongs to the Śrāvaka.

In order not to obstruct the fruit of the earth, in order to be the cause of the desired fruit, and in order to attain Nirvana, it is said that virtue is not; for non-afflictive dharmas, there is also attachment and pride; if a Bodhisattva is one who is fully dedicated or of a definitive lineage, then in that state, both selflessnesses will manifest, and only the uncontaminated will arise. Thus it is said. So, what is the dominant condition of mind consciousness in the realm of the Buddha? In secret meaning, it says: Does the habitual tendency of mirror-like wisdom increase or not? If it increases, then the former Buddhas are more powerful because the habitual tendency increases for a long time, while the later Buddhas are less powerful because the time is short; and the basis for the increase of habitual tendency is not necessarily only unspecified. If it does not increase, then the arising of immeasurable qualities such as strength and fearlessness will become causeless. In response to this, like the Vajra-like Samadhi, when all the uncontaminated seeds simultaneously develop to the ultimate power, they arise continuously without relying on new habitual tendencies, just as after the constant edge, mind consciousness arises uncontaminated, and it itself attains the nature of ultimate power, so it should continue constantly. Or, know that whatever consciousness is transformed into wisdom, they will become mutual causes and effects. After doing the above in this way, it is also said in the ninth that mind consciousness is transformed, which is also in order to gain mastery over the four individual perfect knowledges, and because only a small amount of cultivation abandonment remains, it is only roughly considered, if mind consciousness exists completely, then because the habitual tendencies of elaboration are completely eradicated, there is no consciousness that arises in the form of name and sign, so the cognitive obscurations will be completely abandoned. Therefore, from the eighth level onwards, non-conceptual wisdom arises continuously, and it is said that effortless activities for the benefit of others are naturally accomplished, which is what I have established. I thought that I would accomplish the benefit of sentient beings, for the conceptualization of clinging to the person
