Habit is: When a great Bodhisattva sees that all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, they will not regress from the unexcelled, perfect enlightenment. Thus it is said. Third, the first ground, which realizes the meaning of the all-pervading nature of reality where the two, grasper and grasped, are exhausted, is: Great Bodhisattvas, practicing the perfections of emptiness of inherent existence, do not become confused by discriminating whether form is empty or not empty. Thus it is said. Fourth, there are six: establishing on the fifth ground, the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth grounds. First, the second through fifth grounds, which realize that all dharmas are merely designations, are: All those dharmas are established by relying on worldly conventions, but they are not ultimately real. Thus it is said. Second is: In the aspect of the two, grasper and grasped, dharmas are without an object of focus. The sixth ground is: Bodhisattvas, skilled in means, seeing that all dharmas are without substance, will correctly enter into unexcelled, perfect enlightenment. Thus it is said. Third, the seventh ground, which fully ripens the continuums of sentient beings so that they are able to abandon obscurations and able to generate antidotes, is: They fully ripen sentient beings, but they do not focus on any particular sentient being, nor do they focus on any sentient being who needs to be tamed. Thus it is said. Fourth, there are two: realization and abandonment. First, the path of Bodhisattvas who are certain not to fall into the Hearer or Solitary Realizer paths is: Subhuti, the six perfections are the path to enlightenment for great Bodhisattvas. Thus it is said. Second, reversing the clinging to the appearance of dharmas as grasper and grasped is: When great Bodhisattvas practice the path to enlightenment, they should first thoroughly examine it in this way: apart from manifest constructs, there is no dharma here that is inherently existent and can be focused on. Thus it should be thoroughly examined. Fifth, as it is said in this purification, although enlightenment has not been attained, enlightenment is attained through the ability of emanated body activities that are similar to having attained it: Enlightenment is not attained by the path, nor is it attained by what is not the path, enlightenment itself is the path, and the path itself is enlightenment. Thus it is said. Sixth, there are three: immediately after attaining the tenth ground, the one remaining lifetime, and establishing on the final existence. First, the vessel and contents of the field of oneself becoming a Buddha are pure: Those roots of virtue are also all sentient beings.

and jointly made aspirations, completely dedicating themselves to the complete purification of the Buddha-fields. Thus it is said. There are two aspects to the purification of the fields through empowerment immediately upon attaining the tenth bhumi: accomplishing activities through appearances, and receiving empowerment through offerings. The first has three aspects: the appearance of pure vessels and essences, and the accomplishment of activities. The first is: immediately upon attaining the tenth bhumi, after countless hundreds of thousands of samadhis, one immediately attains what is called empowerment inseparable from the wisdom of all samadhis, and there appears a seat adorned with many precious lotuses equal in extent to hundreds of thousands of three-thousandfold great world systems, and around it there appear lotuses filling the space equal to the number of dust particles in hundreds of thousands of three-thousandfold great world systems. The second is: one's own self sits comfortably on that seat, becoming a cause, and it appears that the surrounding lotuses are occupied by bodhisattvas from the ninth bhumi downwards. The third is: from the two soles of the feet, the two kneecaps, the navel, the two ribs, and the two palms of that bodhisattva, countless hundreds of thousands of rays of light emanate, successively illuminating all the abodes of pretas, hell-beings, animals, humans, gods, and asuras in the ten directions, pacifying all suffering. From the two shoulders, the back of the neck, and the face, countless hundreds of thousands of rays of light emanate, successively illuminating the three abodes of the shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, and those from the generation of the mind of enlightenment up to the ninth bhumi in the ten directions, and also successively drawing near to the door of the appearance of the Dharma, the manner of the door of peaceful samadhi, and the manner of wisdom and skillful means. The second has two aspects: offering and empowerment. The first is: from the urna hair of that bodhisattva, countless hundreds of thousands of rays of light emanate, subduing all the maras in the ten directions, and causing the bodhisattvas who have received empowerment to appear, dissolving into their bodies. From the crown of the head, rays of light equal to the dust particles of countless hundreds of thousands of three-thousandfold great world systems emanate, illuminating all the mandalas of the tathagatas in the ten directions, circling the world ten times, and forming a mandala of a network of light in the sky above.
