Ignorance about the maturation of results, and ignorance about the meaning of just that. Ignorance about the maturation of results causes non-virtuous actions to arise. Ignorance about the meaning of just that is meritorious and unwavering actions. It is said that this is also in reference to the intention of the time, but the intention of the cause is only ignorance of that very reality, as previously explained. Therefore, the first of the twelve links is also that. This also propels existence, and since it is said in the Dependent Arising Sutra Commentary that there is no propelling when truth is seen, it is considered that the ignorance to be abandoned by seeing is a hidden meaning. However, it does not seem reasonable, because Asanga explains that what is to be abandoned by seeing is the imputed that arises from changing the mind through philosophical tenets. Birds and wild animals, etc., whose minds have not been corrupted by philosophical tenets, also accumulate karma due to being corrupted by ignorance. Moreover, this ignorance is the root of all the faults of existence. The brothers Asanga also consider it to be the ignorance that accompanies afflicted mind. Therefore, it should be abandoned by meditation. If so, it would follow that noble beings also have the ignorance that propels existence. Although it is considered that the ignorance that propels existence is an accompaniment of afflicted mind, why would it become a fault if it is not said that the former pervades the latter? If it is said to be abandoned by meditation, then noble beings would also have it. Although it is said to be abandoned by meditation, there are many scriptures that say that noble beings do not have it, such as intense hatred directed towards an object. The second is the karma aroused by ignorance, which has three aspects. The third is the mind-stream aroused by that karma, which also has the consciousness of the time of the result, which connects that time of accumulation of karma and the place of birth at the time of the cause. This is also according to the view of those who consider the Alaya consciousness, and according to those other than that, it is the mind consciousness. The fourth is the name of the four, such as feeling, etc., and the form of things like "tender". The fifth is the increase of name and form, completing from the eye to the mind, that is, at the time of name and form, the first four faculties are absent. The sixth is the arising from the combination of object, faculty, and consciousness, the determination of the three, such as the object being pleasing, that is, from the point of view of the basis, it is the sixth. The seventh is the experience that arises from the touch determining the three objects, the nature of pleasure, pain, etc., and is the sixth as before.

Eighth, when experiencing the three feelings, the craving caused by them, that is, the desire for happiness under the torment of suffering, is desire-craving. In the first, second, and third dhyanas, there is a desire for happiness, and in the fourth dhyana, there is a desire for equanimity, which is form-craving. In the four formless realms, there is a desire for equanimity, which is formless-craving, totaling three types. Ninth, it is the intensification of craving itself. This is also divided into four from the perspective of the object. Among them, grasping at desire is the five sensual pleasures, grasping at views is one or two wrong views, grasping at precepts and vows is abandoning wrong precepts and vows, and the behavior of dogs and cows, etc. Because there is self-grasping, it is said that I, that is, the body or taking this as I, so it is said that I, that is, self-view, and craving and attachment to the conceit of "I am." Tenth, it is the karma that, by the power of grasping, makes the birth of the next life able to be realized. Although the five realms and the intermediate state of karmic existence are discussed here, the first six are only mentioned incidentally. Eleventh, it is the five aggregates that, by the power of that karma, connect the self-nature in the place of birth, that is, divided into four places of birth. Twelfth, it is from birth onwards, to changes in age, and abandoning of the same kind, that is, changes in the body, etc., and divided into untimely death. The reason for combining old age and death into one is that death can occur without old age, so it is not certain to be a gradual branch. And sorrow and reciting mantras, suffering, displeasure, quarrels, etc., the order is also uncertain, and some die in pleasure, so they are not taken as branches, but are only mentioned incidentally, in order to point out the faults to others, thereby generating renunciation. The second part is divided into two parts: branch summary and induction into all afflictions. The first part is: the projecting, the projected, the manifesting accomplishment, and the branches of manifesting accomplishment, totaling four types. Among them, the first is: the first three branches, that is, due to ignorance, actions arise. How does it arise? In the way of imprinting karmic habits on consciousness. The second is: what is projected? The four between name and form and feeling. The third is: three branches, that is, due to craving, grasping arises. How does it arise? In the way of making the karmic habits existing on consciousness become existent. What mani
