Pages 401 to 500. Pages 401 to 500. Therefore, it is said that by abiding in each perfection, one holds the other five. In all other instances, it is said that the path of seeing has sixteen moments, but here it is said to have one moment, and that is forbearance, which is not contradictory. Saying sixteen moments is the way to lead to subsequent ascertainment, and saying one moment refers to the fact that in equipoise, there is no difference in seeing the nature of the four truths. Forbearance is the actual antidote to abandonment, and this path of seeing is also the occasion for showing the antidote to conceptual thought. The third part has two: the peak of seeing itself, and its function. The first is: it is the peak of the path of seeing. Where is it? In this occasion of the peak's realization. Where? The single moment of the path of seeing, which is included by the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of suffering, distinguished by the purity of the three spheres, that is, the one that arises with thirty-six aspects. How does it become thirty-six? Because the six to be collected, such as generosity, are each collected by the six perfections, such as generosity, as previously stated, showing the former as a way of knowing, thus collecting six sixes mutually. This is subsequent attainment, so it is thought that it represents and shows the peak of seeing, but since the six perfections are aspects of non-objectification, it is sufficient to take the essence. The meaning of "here" is that the initial paths of seeing cannot easily abandon many conceptual thoughts, but in the subsequent occasions, they are abandoned without effort, so to distinguish these, the clear words explain that these are the schools that consider the path of seeing to be imputed. This forbearance is not clearly explained in the "Sunlight," and the teacher in the two commentaries considers it to be the forbearance of the Dharma of suffering, and the fame also belongs to it. In the "Clear Words," it is thought to refer to the case where the forbearance of the Dharma of suffering is predominant. In the "Lamp of Wisdom," it is considered to be the Dharma forbearance of all four truths, although Shantideva also considers it to be forbearance, but there is no clear explanation. Abhidharma here shows the six perfections as the path of seeing, and these six are also included by the truth of the path, not by the truth of suffering, so it is subsequent forbearance for the path, not the occasion of Dharma forbearance, because it is the means of abandoning the afflictions of the desire realm, and what is to be abandoned has already been abandoned. Therefore, Senge Sangpo considers the truth of suffering...

It is a great mistake to say that Dharma-kṣānti is established here, because he thinks that the paths at the peak stage are only the antidotes of the upper realms, and this is the reason. This is very unreasonable, because in the root, the six perfections are said to be the path truth realized by the seeing path, and if it is said that forbearance is the moment of its object, then the two forbearances of the path truth can be allowed to be one of them, but it is not so, because this is the stage where the six perfections have reached the essence of the seeing peak. If the six perfections are the path truth, and therefore the forbearance of the seeing path, which shows its essence, is also the subsequent forbearance on the path, then the Dharma-kṣānti for suffering will also become like that. Furthermore, if this seeing path does not abandon the objects to be abandoned of the desire realm, it contradicts the statement that the noble ones abandon all the discriminations of the three realms at this time. Moreover, the reason why this seeing path is only the antidote to the discriminations of the form realm is only one's own view, and there is no other reason, which has been explained in detail before. Secondly, when the peak of the seeing path is fully generated, one hundred and eight discriminations in the form of grasping and apprehending, which are to be abandoned by the seeing path, are abandoned, and at the same time, through the Dharma nature of dependent origination, one obtains one hundred and eight afflictions of habitual tendencies that generate discriminations collected by them. How does it become one hundred and eight? Each of the four discriminations has nine times four, thirty-six, which are combined with the three realms of desire, etc., and it becomes one hundred and eight. If it is said that abandoning the manifest also abandons the latent, then it is too extreme. Although this is true in general, here is the stage of abandonment by the past path, and it also destroys the seeds, so there is no fault. Then, when abandoning these discriminations, what kind of antidote should be kept in mind to abandon them? These are all aroused by the mind that is attached to things, therefore, as their antidote, one realizes that all things are without self-nature. By familiarizing oneself with this, when that cause is reversed, the result, that is, those discriminations, will naturally cease. For the discriminations to be abandoned by meditation, the method of abandonment should also be viewed in the same way. Therefore, although the differences in the appearances of the objects of discriminations are infinite, the root of these is the clinging to reality. Therefore, as their antidote, cultivating the realization of non-reality is the key point.
