That is not the realization of those four, but the attachment to those four. These two debates and answers are both in terms of conventional truth. The difference between this one and the third is also from the perspective of object and subject. The eleventh is: Regarding what? Regarding the aggregates of appropriation, etc., holding them to be permanent, etc., and holding them to be pure, blissful, etc., is a reversed view. The reason is: If holding to permanence, etc., is reversed, then impermanence, etc., must be established in meaning. Saying "form is permanent" or "form is impermanent" is the elaboration of the Great Vehicle, because impermanence, etc., and permanence, happiness, suffering, self, existence, non-existence, peace, and non-peace are all elaborations, merely nominally established, and so on. This is not contradictory, because relative to non-elaboration, permanence and impermanence are the same in that they are not established in meaning, but in conventional truth, the aggregates, etc., exist in impermanence, etc., so it is reasonable whether holding to permanence or impermanence is reversed. Realizing that white elaboration is nominally established, that is, appearing in various ways for the sake of the object to be tamed, is why it is established as impermanence, etc., so it is reversed with respect to permanence, etc., that is, impermanence, etc., reversed from permanence, etc., and permanence, etc., are the same in that they are not true, so it is acceptable whether the former is the harmer or the latter is the harmed. After saying this, the answer to this is also that permanence, etc., are wrong, and impermanence, etc., are the correct conventional truth, so it is also reasonable whether the two minds that hold them are reversed. Or, the elaboration mentioned in the sutra and the reversed view in the treatise have the same meaning, and the sutra also says that permanence, impermanence, etc., and both including opposites are elaborations. If it is said in this way, then being free from holding to permanence, impermanence, etc., is not reversed, but is explained in meaning, so these two differences are unreasonable. If permanence, impermanence, etc., and both including opposites are reversed, then because the reason is the same, holding to elaboration and including opposites must also become reversed. If it is said in this way, then it is very consistent with the sutra, and it is also said in the explanation, so it is sufficient. The twelfth is: Regarding what? Regarding practicing the three paths of the Bodhisattva. The reason is: The necessity of practicing the path is to manifest the result of that and that, then it will become the eighth great Bodhisattva, or obtain the fruit of entering the stream, or returning once.

Having attained the fruit of once-returner, or having attained the fruit of non-returner, or having attained the state of an Arhat, or having attained individual enlightenment, Bodhisattvas do not enter a state or occasion free from faults, because that is not the (Bodhisattva's) state. Therefore, Bodhisattvas cultivate the three paths and do not manifest the Nirvana of Hearers and Solitary Realizers, etc. This is not contradictory, cultivating the three paths is merely to become skilled in taming other beings of the same kind, not for the sake of manifesting the fruit. Both of these debates and answers belong to the category of conventional truth. Thirteenth: To what is it directed? To the side of the antidote. The reason is: If there is an object, there must be something to be taken. If so, how can it be called the Holy Dharma and Vinaya? The Blessed One taught: Subhuti, for this, whether it is Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, Great Bodhisattvas, or Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, they are neither endowed with desire nor free from desire, because it has been said that there is nothing to be taken, etc. Fourteenth: To what is it directed? To the side of the incompatible. The reason is: If there is an object, there must be something to be abandoned, but in reality there is nothing to be abandoned, etc., which is the sutra quoted earlier. Fifteenth: To what is it directed? To the common and non-common characteristics of phenomena. The reason is: If there is a characteristic, there must be a basis as its support. However, these phenomena had no characteristics in the past, and they have no characteristics now, therefore, Great Bodhisattvas should not cultivate characteristics, nor should they cultivate non-characteristics, because non-characteristics have been declared, therefore, there is no basis of phenomena as its support, etc. Sixteenth: To what is it directed? To cultivating the path in order to attain omniscience. The reason is: If there is cultivation, there must be self-characteristics and common characteristics of what is cultivated. However, all phenomena have no characteristics, nor do they have different characteristics, nor do they have the same characteristics, so how can Great Bodhisattvas cultivate Prajnaparamita? Because the self-characteristics and common characteristics of being able to function and not being able to function are unreasonable, etc. Second, is the second explained in the commentary, that is, explaining the refutation. Second: From the perspective of conventional truth, that is, taking this as the reason.
